It's a morning. It's time for bread. Let's get it.

Been a busy 24 hours. I saw the Barbie film, but did not get to see Oppenheimer. My friend did not have the stamina for both. And, uh, I'll be honest: I was more curious about Barbie than Oppenheimer.

If your music taste isn't impeccable while suffering depression, at least it's super strange. Yo. It me.

Mood.

Extremophile dinosaurs that can live in boiling water. And are pink. Speaking of, rather enjoyed Barbie. I thought it was delightfully existential and a great commentary on feminist theory vs feminist praxis, academic mumbo-jumbo here blah blah blah. Made me think about how can I, as a dude, be more of a feminist ally?

Also, I wore pastel blue; I couldn't find my pink shirt.

The Dinosaurs are Sacred.

Seriously: roadrunners are the closest thing on earth to small manoraptorian dinosaurs like Velociraptor. I have a toy dromaeosaur with Roadrunner clothing. And I love telling people on my jeep tours about the awesomeness that is the Earth Cuckoo.

That's right! Roadrunners are a species of Cuckoo. Isn't that wild? They're Cuckoo-dinosaurs. Well, Cuckoos are Dinosaurs anyway being birds, but you know what I mean.

Therizinosaurs for Justice.

Vesper Sparrow vs. Song Sparrow.

Quaaaaaaarrrrk!

Gotta have that Faux-Slav Doom look if you're going to have Orthodox decor. It's apparently a Canon requirement.... but at least if you're Greek Orthodox there will be colors other than black?

Heyyyyo. Edward Drinker Cope was one of the two paleontologists involved in the Bone Wars.

Yeah, they recently lumped these two species of flycatchers together. Expect more memes referencing this in the coming days.

I'm sad. Cordilleran Flycatcher, to me, was an evocative name that made me think of cloud-shrouded forests on high mountains and aspens whispering in the breeze.

Triceratops is gonna fuck shit up.

Speaking of Star Trek, the crossover with Lower Decks was absolutely amazing, and I loved it.

Grebes are kinda, dweebs. So Dwebes.

See, told you there'd me more, ugh, Western Flycatcher memes.

Yeah, that's what the lumped species is now. Western Flycatcher.

Lame name.

Yeah, I too am a rock.

See, here's more Cordilleran/Pacific Slope Flycatcher memes.

I mean, I know my dumps are niche AF, but this may be exceedingly and excessively niche.

Here have some renamed swallow memes.

Oh good the toy robot thinks I'm worthy of love.

Accurate.

PIRACY TIME

Yeah. Another damn flycatcher meme.

That Arizona Life right now.

Hindu fundamentalist beliefs are wild.

Good news then, it's a suppository.

Fiiiiight.

Accurate

I think I'd be truffle salami, green chile, mescal, and ketchup?

Pippin tax! A lovely beer in the woods.

Today's message from Pippin:

"Glory to the good boy! Glory pippin!"

Sweet basil, dark chocolate, peaches, shrimp.

Oppenheimer was alright. They name-dropped the film a bunch of times, and I thought it was a bit gratuitous. Our theater showed some segments without color, which was rather unprofessional. Very (weirdly) intense moment where they blow up a tower in the middle of New Mexico. Anyway, the book was better. (/s in case anyone thinks I'm serious)

#19 Honestly, I expect a higher standard of meme curation here than this writer-blaming garbage. Khan is wrapped up in the backstory of *two* SNW main characters, and saying every episode one doesn't like was written by a hack is on the path to the fucking dark side.

#42 Charles Mann's "1493" was great for showing the start of globalization and where I learned that 16th century Spanish conquistadors would hire samurai to protect their holdings in Mexico.

#42 matador? How does one put in all that effort and then drop "matador" when they mean mariachi? Smh. Killed it for me.

The first time I saw a roadrunner it was running across the road. 10/10, exactly as described.
