Some inconsiderate fuck threatened to shoot up my high school. The police arrested him and the school called all the parents to let them know.

Sorry for potato quality, taken from my classroom window.

There are three or four students in the homeroom that insist the kid was only joking and wouldn’t have actually done it. “It’s only a joke, until they do it,” to quote them. The problem is, when so many innocent lives are at stake, you can’t take chances. It’s really unfortunate that people choose to defend people who threaten to shoot up high schools, and those who decide to joke about it, and supposed ‘suicide pacts’ between him and another student. This is a serious problem. Please don’t treat it as a joke.

FP Edit: Please, anyone reading this, encourage people to do something about the danger/threat of school shootings.

Edit 2: News from my twin. The student who threatened to shoot it up reportedly has mental issues (“he’s a psychopath”), owns knives, and his family has guns. He threatened to shoot up the school because his girlfriend broke up with him. This WAS a serious concern. Many students used humour (in a proper way that doesn’t even indirectly imply they would shoot the school up) because they were all legitimately terrified.

Wow!!! That’s terrible. I’m wondering how he they caught him... Cops often use diversions as a tactic.

I'm a teacher. Kids have started to write threats on bathroom walls in order to take advantage of the evacuation plans and get out of school

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Even out in Nebraska my old HS had 2 kids arrested and placed in jail just this week for a shooting plot. Had to cancel school for a day.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's why I downvote posts with school shooting memes. Kids don't take it seriously and are desensitized to it when it's everywhere.

8 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 6

I was suspended from high school because my friends and I made a movie that had a gun in it. No threats of violence, just a gun present. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This was in 2004. I'm not mad about it. You can never be too careful. A direct threat MUST be taken seriously. Hope he learns his lesson.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Gosh maybe people posting threatening shit on Facebook should be taken more seriously. I know you're listening FBI, you lazy fucks.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My local high school closed yesterday for the same reason

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Akins?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Happened at two different schools this week in my area. Kids are assholes.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Was in high school in 1999. Someone wrote "Columbine Next Wednesday" on a bathroom wall. The school refused to close. Only about 80 kids ->

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

(including my sister & me) out of the 600+ students showed up. There was no shooting, and the principal bought everyone who came ice cream.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Just shows the amount of ignorance being parentaly bestowed upon children now. Not a clue as to right and wrong or consequences.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

You hit the nail on the head, and you could say the same thing about pretty much 99% of society's problems.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I have to ask, how many really said it or are some being falsely accused, how many are using it as excuse to dodge school or escape bullying

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Makes sense. Kids in my day called in bomb threats to get the day off. If they got caught, theyd get arrested. I say fair. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

2/2 just play hooky like a normal highschool kid and "miss" the bus after your parents left for work.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Dumb ass got what he deserved. I hope they press charges.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I hope that instead of pressing charges and making things worse for him, they help the kid through whatever is going on with him.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If the kid had serious issues and is depressed. But it sounds like he was just being an idiot. Thinking he was funny.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

midterms are coming up, so I'm sadly expecting to hear about university lockdowns in the coming weeks.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fucking hell. I don't need my midterms delayed. I want to just take them in goddamn peace. Fuck those asshats who are too dumb to study.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When i was in middle school, the highschool got bomb threats all the time but that fell out of fashion by the time i got there thankfully

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Mine did too, but usually during midterms and finals.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As much as I understand being cautious I've been kicked out of a school because someone started a rumor that I did a gun threat.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How fucking stupid do you have to be to make that kind of threat "as a joke"? That's like pointing a toy gun at a US cop as a joke.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"it's just a prank brooo!"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

how the fuck are school shootings a laughing matter?

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Laughing can be a coping mechanism. Doesn't have to mean that one is trivializing what is laughed at.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ask the sociopath.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Everything is a laughing matter, but there is a time and a place. This was not the time or place.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Every time shit like this happens, it inspires copy cats, especially when the media starts making excuses for monsters. "He was troubled"-

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

"He was bullied", "he had mental health issues". NO SHIT CNN, MOST OF US ARE TROUBLED, WERE BULLIED AND/OR HAVE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, BUT-

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

MOST OF US DON'T GO SHOOTING PEOPLE. Maybe instead of glorifying the fucker who did it, we should hide his face and name. Make him obscure.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I'd love for them only to be described as "some limp-dicked asshole"

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Exactly, he may have been bullied, but he should not be held in the public eye as anything more than a deranged fool.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ummm, that's a seriously dumbass "joke"

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 3

I think it pays off for those pulling it though. They get the appropriate reaction even if just a 'cry wolf' situation.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's because it isn't a joke. They are morons who think because they decide NOW they didn't mean it that makes it a joke.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, but you forget. Highschoolers are seriously dumbass people.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well now that people finally take this shit seriously, it will be like natural selection.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I remember in middle school there was a bomb threat on a bathroom stall. We gathered in the auditorium to discuss the joke.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Mine did too. But it was in flint so they took it seriously and we evacuated and they brought in dogs and swat.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This happened in my middle school too. They threatened us with hand writing analysis. Made us all write on a piece of paper and turn it in

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same thing happened, I was pissed because I had to write some paragraph when it wasn't me who wrote the threat....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh shit, they find the person?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We found out who did it somehow. Nothing really happened to the kid though, some after school sessions and a stern talking to

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can't joke about that shit. He deserves the consequences.

8 years ago | Likes 111 Dislikes 2

Especially as almost all of these are not even the vaguest attempts at being funny, purely designed to intimidate but "I didn't mean it".

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Someone took an airsoft pistol to my sister's school as a joke. He's facing felony charges as a middle schooler now.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Good. Sometimes you need to make an example of people. Terror in proper doses is a helpful deterrent.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

This literally ruins this kids future. Those charges actually don't disappear when you turn 18.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

I don't think giving a felony charge to a middle schooler will do much of anything except ruins that child's life...i say go thru the 1)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Whole dog and pony show but don't actually give a kid a felony charge if he really had no intent on harming anyone

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is this real? Kids all over are calling in bomb and shooting threats? This is how people die.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Hello welcome back from your 40 year long coma. Kids have been doing this all the time. The number of joke threats is in the hundreds/week

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I don't have kids. I also don't live in the United States. From people, friends, and teachers that I've talked to in six cities in >>>

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

<<< Canada this isn't a thing here. Why isn't the media reporting on this happening after school shootings?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but doing it right after a mass school shooting? You'd think that they might ease off a little bit.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am sorry but why should they ease it off. they do it mostly to postpone exams and not everyone acts like he cares about school shootings

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just like 60% of the americans who act like they care but change nothing to stop it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A caller once threatened to set fire to one of our isp's offices. Looked her up and she had a history of arson. Had my sup call their PD.

8 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

That call sucked; she'd accidentally put the power cord for her TV into the equipment drop box along with a cable box she was returning.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

She was a former customer, refused to ID her account at first, demanded someone come out at 10pm on friday night and unlock the drop box.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Our offices were closed until Tuesday for a long weekend, and she said 'if I set fire to the building, would someone show up?'

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I told her that the Fire Department and Police would probably show up. She said she was kidding.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Of course, everyone's always kidding when they realize what they just said.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

When I was in middle school a kid mentioned bringing a gun and shooting people. I told the administrative. Idc if he was joking, fuck that.

8 years ago | Likes 788 Dislikes 10

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 14

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

That would have been my ass in ninth grade because I decided to be edgy with a writing prompt. Fortunately it was before all this.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It wasn't even a writing prompt. He just started talking to me one day and mentioned bringing a gun 'cause he didn't like some kids.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same, but it was a girl. Told a counselor and they brushed it off, saying she was just having a hard time adjusting to the new school...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same. Kid was a real fuck head. I wonder where that person is now. Probably prison. He was definitely unhinged.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously, how fucking stupid can kids be now to joke about that shit during the current state of affairs. Joke or not, they should be 1/

8 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 5

..arrested on stupidity alone.

8 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 3

Attention seeking. It's messed up, but there are people who see that as their only way to have people pay attention to them.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't even think he was joking 'cause he mentioned the kids bullying him but someone on here once chastised me for saying something.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

In middle school a girl had a list of people she wanted to kill, I told, administrative lady laughed as I walked out.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Her head would roll if something did happen.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I found one such list, kid had left it on his desk b/c he was an idiot, I was on it twice (for telling him he was an idiot, I was not [1/2]

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

a good kid). As far as I know there was no administrative action.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You did the right thing. These matters should not be taken lightly.

8 years ago | Likes 277 Dislikes 3

Happened in my middle school too, bomb threat. Kid was arrested and never came back.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I say, good riddance. We don’t need people like that threatening schools. It’s not right.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Reading all these comments of schools closing for threats. I feel relieved. Nobody's dying and maybe some kids will get the help they need.

He was reported. Police and FBI didn't think he was serious.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It’s a lot better than what could’ve happened. It is indeed a relief people are doing something about it.

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Yup. Sucks that threats are being made, but better than a shooting.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was in H.S. when Columbine happened. There were tons of threats after that. It saddens me that 19 yrs later this still a thing.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Except now little fuckwads bent on gaining control over their authority will use it whenever they want to get a free day or two off school.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And subsequently punished, hopefully they will learn not to do shit like that, but as long as there are people, there will be bad people.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this is America! we don't help people, we lock them up and hope the problem goes away.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Yup. Unfortunately, solving this problem will require tax dollars, and nobody can agree on anything that requires government intervention.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To expand, nobody wants to part with their money and the government usually screws up when it comes to big changes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Know what else might help? Media not glorifying it and presenting an avenue for instant fame & recognition.

8 years ago | Likes 109 Dislikes 4

Too late for that. Now kids see it as the norm and the ultimate way for their voice to be heard or get revenge for hurt feelings.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thing is, it's news. I guess they could get a law forbidding image and names of minors involved in big crimes though.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

And then they will have trouble passing it due to freedom of speech.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wasn't there a study showing media coverage of school shootings ends up causing more of them?

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

I dont remember the exact study but there was a film theory on the tide pod challenge that showed the same concept

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It sucks, if that's the case then either sheltering kids from the media or completely revamping how they recieve that information would be-

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Necessary. Perhaps if they are shown the news at school and given an exam to see how they react to it, then parents/teachers collaborate to

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most likely because they ignored the FL kid when he was reported and no other police force wants to be on the news defending why they

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Yep! I'm in FL, & there have multiple lock downs and closings because of reported threats since the massacre.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same in Az. Even a kid who tweeted violence to a school no where near him. School cancelled kid arrested.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ignored calls about a kid threatening violence at school.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Damn America you fucked up

8 years ago | Likes 184 Dislikes 23

Bomb threats were a thing when i was in highschool

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Question is though, how many bombs actually went off in schools? It was never a threat taken that seriously because it didn’t happen.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I live here true that

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

this country so stoopid

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Been doing this for years, I remember bomb threats being a big thing in high school back in 1998

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hell a few years ago my HS had 5 bomb threats in one week.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The problem is snowballing. There are too many guns because of a 200 year old law. Everyone should just start wearing ballistic vests.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 19

Feel free to fuck off to another country. I recommend my home country, Venezuela. We don't have guns there.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 12

Well, I mean, I'm Canadian. I guess I'm just used to everyone being nice. We have guns but use them to share moose jerky.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Then keep your dumbass opinions to yourself, leaf.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Don’t think it’s the # of guns, just the ease of getting them in some states. Also, our mental health system is shit.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

Switzerland has guns but you have to be in the military, or reserve, or go through a lengthy screening. Also half as many per capita.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

“Go through a lengthy screening.” Yup.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah :/ those in power are spinning it as best they can right now. Video games are the current culprit for the shootings

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 18

True. I've heard Ghenghis Khan was a big crash bandicoot fan.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Stalin greatly enjoyed some diddy kong racing if some historical sources are to be believed

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hitler like COD, world at war. He was a camping bish though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Yeah guys, ill push with you" -hitler did not in fact push

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah, one of the golden oldies!

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

That was the drive after Columbine in the late 90's

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

DOOM, IIRC.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And here I thought the shooters were the culprits of the shootings... or the ones who provided the guns even.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Nah man, need guns to combat guns. Just like fat people need to eat more food to combat the food they eat.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 7

Yup, but the NRA head is saying that if you advocate for that you hate freedom. That's a direct quote :/

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Tons of studies out there prove violent video games don’t make people violent IRL. But the jury’s still out on the whole science thingy...

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah I've heard that, the video game industry doesn't bankroll republicans like the NRA so it's an easier punching bag.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You can't shoot up a school if you're to busy being addicted to video games.

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Better watch out. At this rate, my galactic Empire will rise soon

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can confirm. Never shot up a school.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Exactly. Why would we want to destroy the future generations of gamers? Kids have time to play games. They buy the games, funding more games

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There have been 8 teens arrested in Virginia this week for the same exact thing.

8 years ago | Likes 452 Dislikes 3

Here in Utah we had a teacher with her concealed weapon shoot herself in the leg while in the bathroom. Yay Utah....FML!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As of this reply, and as far as I know, 11 in Kentucky this week were arrested

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Guess they're getting all that attention that they desperately crave from strangers in the police force.

8 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

Good. Keep teaching them this shit won't be tolerated anymore.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Where's police violence when you need it?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

4 in Ohio

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

You see, this needs to be absolutely blown up. If schoolkids realise this is what happens, then they'll not do it. Probably

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just realised my abysmal word choice. Sorry.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In plattsmouth nebraska they let them go back to there parents no setting in jail or a hold on them to keep them under supervision

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Had a parent meeting and told them charges will continue until it stops.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In PA there's been 1 school completely closed for 2 days. The kid threatened the middle school once they protected the high school

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good. Charge the little shits

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A few in Michigan this week too

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They should make false threats of gun violence a crime... Is it already?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ya, these kids are facing 12 months or like 15 grand in fines. They are not joking here with them at all.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Here in Texas too!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Make it 10, two HS near me had that problem, one of them has a school police so they arrested him before shit could go down. Apparently had

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

An air rifle in his trunk so eh, could've been for property damage or trying to shoot someone's eye out

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Where is this?? What hs?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Northern VA, Centreville and battlefield

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also 1 middle school in Norfolk but I think that's the one he was mentioning already

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is proof the problem is not guns...it’s the mental state of a large amount of people.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

no. it's mental issues AND easy access to guns. Without guns they are just wackos and cunts, with guns they're terrorists and massmurderers

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

It's funny, the same people crying about gun violence are the same people who wantonly promote it in TV and movies rated pg-13 or below.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

There isn't easy access for anyone under 18 unless the guns aren't safely locked up at home.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hopefully the negative repercussions have an actual effect on anyone who is serious about it.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

It won't, but it will have an effect on pranksters and jokers. Which is good. Anything to cut down on copycat syndrome.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

question: are the repercussions severe enough to be taken seriously

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In one of our middle schools, someone spray painted a hit list in the bathroom. They say it's being dealt with, it's not. This is just sad

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I was in HS I would've killed for days off like that. Metaphorically speaking.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This makes me furious, and the fact that I have to worry about my little brother going to highschool is insane..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you from Ohio by any chance because this just happened like 20 minutes from my house too!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes Toledo

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Highschool in the district i teach arrested a 14 year old last night for the exact same thing. Wtf is going on

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whoah, there was a threat on an SHS (which is the initials of my school), but turned out to be for another school

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is sadly kids like to take dumb shit and run with it

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

You run with shit and someday it will hit you in the face.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My old high school had a threat too yesterday in wisconsin.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope so, too. Otherwise they'd have to change and adjust laws to better protect children and innocents. Nobody wants that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

would you happen to live in spokane? because there was a threat to a local HS here

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No ohio

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I went to a school in the ghetto for little while when I was a kid and there were 4-5 bomb threat evacuations a week.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I was in high school ten years ago someone made a fake threat at the school in the next town over so we had a ton of copy cats

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah, In every school you seem to have some dumb fuck that thinks it's funny or trying to get attention for a copycat incident.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My friend works at a highschool and yesterday someone called police and local news saying there was a shooter so they could go home early.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kids like the social media hype, it's so they can be famous. Wish criminals in news are unnamed, just a number to be forgotten.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You don’t happen to be from Harriman or Oliver Springs Tn do you?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ohio

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Swatting is also idiotic as fuck. Some poor kid on twitch got swatted just for fun

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

What's that?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone will find the person's address and call in a hostage situation at that address. SWAT shows up. Someone died in one incident.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wow. I've never heard of that, and part of me wishes I never had. That's horrible

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is waaaay beyond messed up. I have no idea why someone would think it was ok.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I remember in my high school bomb threats were the thing to do.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So I know this is going to be controversial as shit, and I fully know that things like this can only lead to worser things, but let them 1/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

do things like that. If they think making bomb/shooting threats is "funny", then ltet them face the repercussions. Throw them out of 2/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

school, have them pay for it. Shame them. Let's see how "funny" it is when everybody will shun their stupid asses for pulling that shit.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hear you, but I think that idea works best when the kid fails his "mission" so to speak.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Went to HS 2004-2008 (omg.) and we had bomb threats at least once a year. A few lockdowns but no incidents.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why can't the latest fad be something like punching nazis or something? Why is it always something so self-destructive?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

All the surrounding schools around my little sister's school (3) were closed due to bomb threats last night.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Back in my day, kids called in bomb threats to get the day off school.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think we should be basically running smear campaigns on school shooters. Like "they have a tiny weiner" in the news every day

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

America, you have a problem

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

We know :( our system is fucked. Help.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It’s always happened. Back in high school, 7-10 years ago we were locked down for 2 bomb threats, one person shooting a shotgun outside, >>

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And a group of kids saying there where gunna come murder a student, and when they showed up, had a gun, knives, and bars in the car.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bats*

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

New challenge, eat a school shooter

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

One can hope.

8 years ago | Likes 308 Dislikes 1

I think the reason there is so many school shootings is because they got the idea off the 1st sick fuck who thought "how do I make these

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

people hurt" and he got a gun and shot up the school, the rest realized how easy it was, and it helped people over the edge.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Tide pod challenge made it difficult for teens to get tide pods. If this is the new thing maybe gun laws will be tightened as a result

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

unfortunately from what I heard is in fact turning into that

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Yep, my school got a threat two days ago.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just got a threat last night. Nothing's happened yet, but the tension is so thick you would need a cleaner to cut it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*cleaver dammit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We'll be handing out felonies like candy. Can't help stupid.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

A girl at a local hs threatened to shoot her school over snapchat. Other teens reported her to the police, who then tracked her down and

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats what happened here. You in ohio?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope. Utah.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Interrogated her and her parents, found out it was an empty threat bc she had no access to guns, and set up extra security at the hs today

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To make sure ppl feel safe.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In my day it was the same thing but bomb threats. There was actually someone going around leaving pipe bombs

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

You talking about the flashlight guy?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One school made it mandatory that people use clear bags for backpacks for a while

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Oh my god. I entered High School just at the end of that kind of trend

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Went to high school just as they started implementing that. Then again.. Inner city Chicago was "fun"

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's just a coincidence your name is bomboy right? Lol

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

About 10-15 years ago bomb threats seemed to be the trend. It got you out of school and could be made anonymously. Several threats a year

8 years ago | Likes 188 Dislikes 0

In 2003/4 our school was evacuated for a bomb threat. I was in 8th grade. Thanks 9/11?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We had mountain lion threats because sometimes a mountain lion would come onto campus

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Same, and coyotes and rattlesnakes. Just sit in class til they left or animal control relocated them.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

2001-2002, after 9/11, we had 15 over two weeks. Spent hours sitting on buses at the football stadium each time.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That's when it all kicked off. I was in middle school, my brother in hs. Sooo many threats

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I highly recommend the movie "Bang Bang you're dead", it was in retaliation to bomb threats in school

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah i remember that... and i live in Argentina.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There were lots in the 70s as well.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Someone called one in on their personal cellphone to get out of a test. Super funny when the police redialed the number after clearing

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A few decades ago there used to be IRA bomb threats. These kind of things come and go unfortunately.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shit yes I remember this. We kept getting dozens of bomb threats. Police had to stay on campus, we had search dogs, staff was pissed

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably six bomb threats when I was in high school. The one called during a blizzard? Fuck youuuuuuu

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yep. we had no school a few times because of fake bomb threats. one kid was dumb though and he got caught and expelled over it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

High schooler in mid to late 2000s, can confirm we had these issues

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

If someone had told me that in the 2000s, I would probably be shocked .. but this just seams like typical USA now ... damn

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 43

It’s shocking to you that I went to high school then? Or are you saying America has poor sewing and stitching skills?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same time frame as me lol

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember kids doing that on a weekly basis at my school.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Grad from 2006. We had a threat once or twice a week. Was nice because no classes until we had to sit outside in the rain when it was 35 deg

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So my middle school was on a US Navy base. People made yearly bomb threats there in the early 2000’s. I had friends that spent time in juvey

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Military don’t f around with that crap. You learn real quick!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

One of my "friends" was expelled in the last 2 months of his senior year because he wrote "bomb 1:30pm" in the bathroom.

8 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 0

We had something like that when I was in high school, some dumb girl thought it would be funny to write "bomb at 3pm" on a sign in the 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hallway, right in front of a camera. She was expelled and her friend with her suspended

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How did they figure out who wrote it?

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Cameras in the hallways leading to the bathroom. I mean, he also bragged about it, so that didn't help.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Damn, I didn't even consider cameras, none of my schools had them.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But we only ever had 2 bomb threats my entire time in school, both of them we never left the school, they held us in the gym.

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

... in the gym where you'd all be blown up.

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

I know right? Didn't they see Heathers?

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

And americans think it's weird that we think they are absolutely retarded

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 8

We may be retarded but we're like the only thing stopping multiple countries from destroying the world so think about that for a moment

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No we know full well that we're retarded, but we just don't like when other point it out. For example, I'm fat. I make a jokes about me.....

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Only 2? I live in germany we never had anything. no bombs no guns. But hey. stricter gunlaws are not the way to go

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 16

well bombs are illegal in the US for everyone, so not related at all to gun laws.

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 5

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 39

Germany isnt a prime example of how to prevent mass murders....
