My father made this sweet Van Helsing monster hunter kit.

This is the case. The theme is strong with this one.

The inside.

The revolver. Shoots bullets AND black powder shot possible by an interchangeable cylinder.

The signature of the great hunter Van Helsing.

The caps for when you shoot black powder rounds. Caps go on the rear of the cylinder. When the hammer smacks the cap the cap sparks igniting the black powder and forcing the spherical rounds out the barrel.

He cast the rounds himself with a special casting tool.

Silver bullets, holy water vial, and the cylinder for the black powder rounds (those small holes are what the aforementioned caps go on).

The other side of the stake. Two magnets are inlaid at each end to keep it stuck to the roof of the case when the case is closed.

The man himself. My father is 73. He's been gunsmithing for about 50 years. He also builds cars, paints, sings, and does a myriad of other activities. He recently fell down in a hardware store and had brain surgery. That was about 3.5 weeks ago. He's on an amazing road to recovery. His brush with mortality made me wish more people knew about the crazy shit he has done and will continue to do in life.
