Nice to see parents being charged with taking responsibility

All three of them look like douche nozzles

Dad’s facial hair alone is a crime.

Reminds me of those “We birthed him, we know what’s best for him” idiots.

Good to see them use his mug shot and not some Sunday school pictures

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

School should also be charged. The questioned him searched nothing and let him go back to class

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cops are still searching for the parents.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As of now the parents are on the run!!

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Dad looks like a low-rent Guy Fieri. Dude Fiero.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel like I need context… did they knowingly provide a gun or did they prove negligence?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

from stories, the dad bought the gun, mom mentioned present kid, went shooting with mom. But since it was never properly secured, neglect.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is anybody surprised looking at these people... I fell bad for the families.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aaaaand they’re on the run. WTF

4 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 1

Arrested now.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That’s not about the shooting, referring to him searching for ammunition during school hours. School contacted his parents about it

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The dad looks like a murder sim flash game Newgrounds contributor circa the year 2002 all grown up

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

They charged the parents and now they're "missing" according to their attorney. Can't wait to see how they get caught and hauled in.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sandyhookpromise.org is a nonprofit trying to fight for better background checks and education for gun safety. Support them if you can!

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Mannnn if you had asked me to draw the kid who did this without seeing him I would have been so spot on.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

AND now they are on the run ! Parents of the year !

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

And it would seem they've made a run for it?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When your first reaction to hearing about a mass shooting at your son school is to be like oh shit that totally my son you done f up

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

There's a guy who lives in the next town over who says "gotta be my kid" to every report of theft and vandalism on NextDoor.com. Not 1/

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

surprisingly, he's also been known to say "haha boys will be boys" when it's someone else. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is an excellent legal precedent to set. The owner of the gun has to also be held accountable when a minor is involved.

4 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

That precedent could have been set after Sandy Hook. Anyone can steal someone else’s gun and use it.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It should have been set then. But these shifting opinions take a long time.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s true. Such a tragedy.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At first I thought this was unfair, then I learned more and changed my mind.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jesus what an evil looking bunch of bastards

4 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 3

did you see the picture that the new york post used?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did not no

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It was a picture of the kid from 5 years ago or something like from a church choir

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’m also flabbergasted that the school let him go back to class after he was found making drawings depicting gun violence

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

They called the parents to take him home and they refused.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thing is, i hear all the time where schools expel or suspend students for basically making a threat & his drawings would be just that.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Makes you wonder why they refused

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thing is, i hear all the time where schools expel or suspend students for basically making a threat & his drawings would be just that.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a case where i dont give a shit if the kid gets death penalty. Throw the parents in there, too

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We could be using science to (even better) build the case that X or Y are dangerous co-behaviors.. and A & B are good therapies..

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(do that for all criminals and we could have better prevention and policy) + someone reformed trying to prevent others is valuable.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah. Id say this little prick doesnt deserved to be reformed.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you say that about the last 200 little pricks? Good science can help us to help the next 200 before they snap.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I sure would. Not sure someone reformed can help with this, since this shit falls through the cracks. People cant be identified as psychos

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a start. This needs to become the minimum where the parents MUST be held accountable, seeing as thats how these turds get their guns

4 years ago | Likes 329 Dislikes 8

Not just parents, but any gun owner, period. As a gun owner, it should be your responsibility to know where your guns are at all times 1/

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

and that they are safe & secure or else you are held accountable as an accessory due to your negligence. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Should have happened to Rittenhouse, too.

4 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 5

He is able own that riflle legally that's the difference. You can own a rifle with barrel longer than 16 in" at age 17in wisconsin

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Don't think the families of the people he killed will care about that detail.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But not one that's semi-auto...that's 18, of which he was not.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Worse yet, they bought their 15 year old a gun.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Doesn't generally matter if gun ownership is responsible. Problem is, it's often not responsible.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No they didn’t. He took his dad’s

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No it was made very clear by himself and his parents that the gun was gift given to him.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I saw that and do apologize

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a lot of friends who's parents bought them a gun at 15. But it was locked up in a safe with all the other guns. And only for hunting.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I grew up around guns. I was taught to handle them responsibly, and they were kept locked up when not needed.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This. You can own a gun under 16 with parents permission and purchase etc - but all guns should absolutely be locked up - no matter whose.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'd be concerned if parents (or anybody else) took proper safety precautions (not nutsoid American safety precautions) and was still charged

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm all fine with it in this case, since they were... yeah, really, REALLY fucking negligent.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think they should be automatically charged. Being convicted is a whole different story.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's overall an extremely, extremely bad idea. What if it's not the parent's gun? Or they locked it up? That has to go to a grand jury to

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Then it'll be pretty obvious that the parents are not at fault.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Which means they shouldn't be hit with charges at all. You're creating a precedent where probable cause of a crime is no longer required.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

justify a charge. The precedent is... not good.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If they'd given him an assault rifle & driven him across state lines to a protest rather than a handgun to a school, they'd all be innocent!

4 years ago | Likes 629 Dislikes 72

Tate Myer ran toward the shooter https://meaww.com/amp/video-oxford-school-hero-tate-myre-viral-grief Now the loser can cry self defense!

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 23

That’s not even what happened in the rotten house case man. Jokes that exploit misinformation are pretty much propaganda

FPMs, freedoms per minute

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know what you mean, thank God for the 2nd

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 30

No one used an assault rifle.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 30

The rifle didn't cross state lines, don't know why people bring that up. It was also like 15 minutes from his house. Not really relevant.

4 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 75

People love this state lines shit.

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 4

Schroedingers Broder, it exists and doesn't exist depending on the narrative being pushed.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Gotta love Imgur! Get downvoted to all hell for trying to stop the spread of misinformation. Bunch of shitheads here.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that REALLY the part of that post you have an issue with?

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 11

I have issues with misinformation, whatever the source. Don't spread lies.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Still used by a 17 year old then and it wasn’t legally his yet! What a bullshit argument

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 10

4 years ago | Likes 105 Dislikes 9

You say holy shit to my comment, check out the replies in defence of you know who for some proper holy shit.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 4

Their sycophantic bootlicking and murder excusing is disgusting, isn’t it?

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

They LOVE that he murdered people & got away with it. Because they think those protesting police violence were subhuman & deserved to die.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

That's a massive strawman if I've ever seen one...

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

You do know the guy who actually gave Rittenhouse the rifle (and bought it for him) is being charged x2 for that right?

4 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 4

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Charged is not convicted.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm sure he'll pay for his crimes just as much as Kyle has

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So if he gets charged, does that mean Rittenhouse wasn't supposed to have the rifle?

4 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 4

No, the judge threw out those charges so he was was supposed to have it. /S

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

Rittenhouse did a straw purchase. He can't buy a gun at 17. Maybe you can have a rifle, for hunting. But Rittenhouse wasn't out hunting.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I disagree. He WAS out hunting...but of course I agree with you.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The law has a gap in the logic that allows a 17 year old to possess a dangerous weapon without having to be hunting. It's bullshit, but law.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No. The charge is specifically giving a dangerous weapon to a minor that results in death. 2 counts.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Isn't Rittenhouse considered a minor at 17? He can't buy himself a gun

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Right. It was a straw purchase for sure. Why the guy isn't being charged on that as well, and why Kyle wasn't is a mystery to me.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And the judge ruled the law is too vague, and doesn't account for hunting, and tossed the charge.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Rittenhouse wasn't out hunting.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're getting mixed up here. Black, guy who gave him the gun, is facing these charges. Rittenhouse was legally allowed to possess it in WI.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

According to the court: If and only if he was being assaulted by the people he killed.

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 30

That is NOT what the court said. They ruled that he was afraid for his life, not that he was being assaulted or even that his life was

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

actually in danger. Unfortunately that was the only thing his lawyers needed to prove based on the state laws.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

So again, the kid at the school rushed the shooter. Isn’t that assault? Now this loser can cry self defense thanks to you idiots’ argument

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 9

This may be hard for you to comprehend, but there's the small difference that Rittenhouse only shot after he was assaulted, not before...

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 10

This may be hard for you to comprehend but he was not assaulted when he killed the first man and that is not what the court ruled. Maybe

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

And this may be hard for YOU to comprehend but in my world human LIFE will always be more valuable than property

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Know your facts before being so goddamn pretentious.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

BEFORE he just walked around like a big boy with his tough gun acting as though he had a right to silently hold authority over others

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

He wasn't assaulted until after he killed the first guy.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 7

Have you actually seen the first clip with Rosenbaum?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Yeah cause Rosenbaum grabbed his gun cause he wanted to have a nice friendly chat.
