It's amazing how many things are made by video montage these days. I remember when we had to use the Viewmaster!

It's so strange watching this...to work all month for a couple of those sheets of paper...

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I like the part where they put nacho cheese on the money.

5 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 0

The forbidden nacho cheese

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's a security feature. They use special cheese that currency detection dogs can recognise

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Noice

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First you melt the marshmallow, then you spread on the cheese...

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is complete bullshit. Everybody knows you put the plastic card in the ATM and it prints your money!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

First: the working class is ground into a course fibrous material.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm actually surprised how much human involvement there is in this process.

That.... that's how money is unmade.

This taught me nothing at all! except it involves paper, paint and some spatulas, but as far as the process goes, I'm still clueless.

ONE of these boxes, and all my problems would vanish like the frost under the sunlight

Until they found you with said box, rolling in it in you bed.

Especially since you'll be dead, or in prison for the next decade

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Oooh so its fine when they print money in a warehouse but when I try to do it .... Then its a problem ?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But how do they make the sparkle bits?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fairy poop

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I thought money was made by exploiting the lower classes?

5 years ago | Likes 146 Dislikes 10

And by selling your ass. But don't quote me.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

That's how you GET money, this is how it's MADE.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is, title is misleading, this is how cash is made.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah it is true.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh you want to buy a house? Here you can borrow this money I just printed. Now off to work down the mines for 25yrs. Toodle pip.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

That is a disturbingly accurate depiction sir!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Grades k-8? Haha ahem. Sorry

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't be sorry. I'm considerably more educated than that.

Saving this for the next time I see a comment about not being able to get a job cause of tattoos. That guy is making a shit ton of money.

Considering the security background checks, and always having to be on cameras, I'm sure they get a very decent pay, tattoos or not.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

It's like accountants, you don't want that the people handling the money feel the need tto steal it. You pay them

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Seriously though, I wonder how much it actually costs to make a box of money like that.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like a joke a with a little build-up to it. You have delighted my morning and I thank you

IT my friend. Nearly everyone in my company has them, from the CEO to data entry. No judgements

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

At least in NYC, non-finance office jobs are much more accepting of them than 10 yrs ago. I've got a visible tatt & work in tech

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I make them by working 9 hours a day. But that seems an another good way.

5 years ago | Likes 141 Dislikes 2

an another

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't you need to put "an" before a vowel? No, I'm seriously asking, because I'm still learning english.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Seems like another" works.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you. Noted.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Another is already the bastard offspring of 'an' and 'other' you do not add 'an' again.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thank you. Nobody ever told me. Now I know.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It’s redundant. Because ‘another’ is literally an other.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you. Nobody ever told me and I din't think about it.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No problem!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You don't make it, you receive it because your employer gets more money from you doing you job than you get. Called exploitation

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 40

Not all work is exploitation. Sometimes it's mutually beneficial. You have a skill, your workplace has the supplies and marketability.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You may be a machinist, but it's unreasonable for you to have millions in equipment and thousands of fabrication contracts to make a living

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oof thanks Debbie

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Meh. Don't be nitpickingly political about a joke ;)

5 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 2

But why not?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone lower down said the same as me pretty much but got upvoted lol. That's the real joke here

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I tried to find both your comments to make a comparison, but there are too many. So I just have to belive you.

I wonder how much money it costs to make money.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

At least three money, I think.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But our money is made of plastic...

5 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 2

Romanian currency is also made of plastic.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Says 2015 on the notes, think it may be a touch out of date. Still interesting though.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Canada's is a polymer which has come in handy during COVID. Easy to clean. You can even throw it in the laundry (don't recommend the dryer).

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I was just thinking I thought the Euro was polymer now (Australian, haven't seen them in person)

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Why has someone down voted you? Has the world gone mad?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Who down votes this???

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The people who are sour because their bills are still the inferior cotton bills

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I'd buy that for a dollar, but it sounds like they use notes from the old days. So instead, I'll buy that for a euro.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Euro pure cotton, US dollar 75/25 cotton/linen, Australian dollaridoo biaxially oriented isotactic polypropylene (iPP)

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

am aussie. my comment "that's not how the GOOD money is made!"

The US secret service wants to know my location because I'm making Euros?

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

^

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Not worth it... they're making Euros

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 11

worth twice USD usually.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Euro is worth more than the US dollar I think. If you really want to get into the meta Euro is a good way to go. 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

But the US dollar has the "accepted everywhere" perk. So it's a difficult choice to select which progression path to work on. 2/2

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

Dollars are easier. There are in circulation dollars that have a fraction of first Euro generation security measures

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Good point. Security on the Euro might cost more than the exchange rate bonus

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

'accepted everywhere' i doubt you can pay with it if a country has its own currency. And most currency's exchange

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The Euro is worth 20% more than USD, it’s definitely worth it. Just get it exchanged

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

it's dropped a l ot since last I checked conversion to pay our doctors

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

one euro is literally USD$1.20 right now.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it used to be closer to $2. Either way, it' worth >USD

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At what point does it become actual money and not a printed piece of paper/linen?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If I remember correctly that linen recipe is only for euro money at which point it is illegal to possess. Because it could used for money

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When it gets registered by central bank in one of their vaults. Before that it's not legal tender.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When it reaches the bank, they register the bills into circulation.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So that’s when it’s legally money, but just for the sake of starting a debate, let’s assume it’s stolen before then, most places wouldn’t

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bat an eye at the unregistered bills, right? From a societal standpoint, is it not still money?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The shops won't know until they deposit the cash into the bank and get alerted that it's unregistered, since they're technically counterfeit

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

before that point, they would start looking into who gave them the bills (you run a higher risk of being caught with every bill you spend)
