Girl off camera "I like your septum"

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Strange to think that some places in the world still use ox drawn carts for actual daily use.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

K, ready to work.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was so intimidated by that animal until it looked at the camera. Such a sweet face!

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 142 Dislikes 0

He good boy. Me whip him 6 less times today.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 15

Look at his face!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some animals really enjoy pulling carts. One of my friends horses perks up every time she is tacked to a wagon. The horse, not my friend

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I would say overall animals like to work. This guy seems well treated too.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn, that oxen gets fed. You can hardly see a hip bone. He looks happy doing his job.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I hope he is loved.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"I HALP" - giant horned doggo, probably

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Such a good boy deserves to recognized by his proper species.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is my life now - Ox, probably...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He's gotta pull that thing all day, the least they could do is help him put it on.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is the rope going in his nose? Ouch!

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

We had a bull with a ring through his nose. He was so docile, my cousin at 3 year old lead him around by it, but it was there just in case.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Eventually it came out, and we never bothered with trying to put it back. Rawhide was a gentle giant

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I’m torn between this is cute and this breaks my heart.....

And it is not logical to treat an animal you badly need badly. This one looks fit, well fed, strong and looked after.

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

it's what put grass on the table tho.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Domestication has been core to our species from the dawn of time. There's no reason to have a broken heart.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Curious if you'd feel sorry for him if you ate him? Or if you feel sorry for him since he has as job to do just like you do?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Well he's not reluctant to the job and he looks well fed. People probably aren't unkind towards him.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

He better have gotten head pats!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Strong as a... Oh

8 years ago | Likes 201 Dislikes 0

I've always wondered what the horns are for...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Water buffalo.

8 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

Boogle and confusion are my two favourite collective nouns for weasels.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Somebody did a good job training him.

8 years ago | Likes 936 Dislikes 1

And someone better get a carrot or some hey for being a good boy.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

And here I thought they were too stupid to be trained..

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 17

No animals are too stupid to be trained, but some have other motivations than others.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

training = beating

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 50

you’re painting with a broad brush.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Not fucking always, look at how Tibetans Tran elephants, it's a life long pack

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

I know, I know. I'm just a cynic with a cold, cold heart.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 7

Rope through nose = pain training.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Exception that proves the rule mate. In this world, animal abuse is endemic.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

He's apus cousin, there was no training needed (very sorry if you find this offensive.)

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 51

I don't get it? I can't be offended yet if I don't get it :(

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Maybe they meant "Apu's cousin"

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Still don't get it tho

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

What's an apu

Just kidding I’m sure your mother is a nice lady

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

They're called carabao.. theyre like cows with horns. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carabao

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Yep, we called them carabao or water buffalo

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That explains why they look so familiar. There's a herd of them not far from where I live

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cows have horns, they're just cut off in the dairy and meat industry usually.

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

Polled cows aren't. And soon they'll be editing the gene out in cow breeds that still have them.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I don't think it will be that soon and not all farmers dehorn their cattle.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Eeeh, I dunno.i mean in labs I'm sure, but I doubt that the American farmer will pay for that, at least not anytime soon.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its being done in the field already. The cost won't be any higher. Embryo implants happen on large farms daily. Ive assisted with 100's

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ox* ... Maybe? Idk I'm not a bovine specialist

8 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 1

I'm no oxpert*

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fairly sure its a water buffalo

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Cattle are only called oxen when they are pulling carts, so you are right!

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

not sure if i missed a joke, but bulls are called oxen, after they are neutered. You do that so they are easier to handle

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I've never heard them called Ox after neutering. We've always used steer. Interesting to know the word varies

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A neutered bull is a steer, friendo.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

In Ireland we call neutered ones bullock's

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

hmm, looks like the definition of ox varies. We call all neutered bulls oxen, no matter its function (even those for fattening)
