They get adopted really fast, my friend have been waiting for one for a long time. Some of the dogs even have ptsd so it's not for everyone

I looked into this like 5 years ago, and the waiting list was hella long. Most get adopted to the handler.

My Aunt adopted a retired police dog. One day someone let it out of her garden and a police officer shot it as it walked up to him.
