Banana dragon for scale

Sauce: Instagram @gakugakugakugakugaku1

Badass skills for sure. Saw some snapchats of it and a link to his Instagram and thought I'd share with Imgur :)

*I wish I had this kind of patience

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Talent is taking the time to make art. This shows a Japanese approach to craft.

This takes playing with your food to a whole new level

A master Japanese Artist created these. He is the 7th generation of skilled art labor in his family and very well known in Japan.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Seven generations of doing this...I'm sorry it almost makes it even more of a waste of time.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You wasteful monster! Kids in Africa could've eaten that exacto knife!

Which one of these will give me super powers.

They all do. But you can eat only one, and you will lose the ability to swim.

Real question: How do they keep the apple from turning brown before they are finished?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Spraying it with lime juice slows down the oxidation of the fruit

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can we just agree that it's aided by citrus, at least! Think of the minneola, the tangerine!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's not talent. It's patience and practice.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

That's what talent is. You don't just inherently have it as a birth right from god. There is only patience, practice and passion.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Actually, talent is a natural ability. Skill can be a talent, but it typically refers to something you practice.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Talent is made up bullshit losers tell themselves when they don't have the character to practice something long enough to be good at it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I encourage you to look up "talent" in a dictionary.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I encourage you to shove a dictionary up your arse.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

*you wish to acquire that skill without putting in the 10,000 hours it takes to get that good

9 years ago | Likes 130 Dislikes 1

Many people are quite talented... few are patient.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10,000 hours to become a "professional" has been proven again and again to be a bullshit saying.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still.. Why this skill? Its kinda shit for every purpose. "look i carved an Apple to look magnificent" an hour later its Brown n soggy, woho

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

You could probably make good money working with a catering/event venue. Make sweet decorations for rich people.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cause its cool. Art doesn't have to be useful or long lasting. Super fancy cakes and cupcakes are huge but they don't last either.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

But its like making a ice sculpture in a desert, sure it looks good once its done, but 1 hour later and you just got dissapointment

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That's the beauty of art - everyone has their own preferences and different styles they enjoy. You don't have to like something for it to -

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

be legitimate or enjoyed by other people.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

*i wish i didn't have to work so i could dedicate myself to random shit like this

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

This is done by a Japanese food artist who is paid to do those. I worked as cake decorator. Similar job but less elaborate and less talented

conclusion: money can buy happiness

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it can, but not always directly. it allows you to do whatever makes you happy.
