9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Retro games were designed for CRT displays so why not besides the big one is a 34 inch HD CRT with hdmi

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What's even more important is that this kid is spending time with his dad building his collection, also building memories

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nice collection but get outside and run around too little dude!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why the hell do y'all care if the dad gave some or all the collection. It's a nice collection kid. Don't let assholes bring you down.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Just wait until you get older and have to start selling stuff to afford mortgage and income tax...ahhh...I'm bitter.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have two teenagers and am stunned at how organized and tidy this room is.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well you should have saw its 5 minutes before the pic was took

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think I have to rob you

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

+1 for your parents

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I suspect mum and/or dad were also gamers growing up. Great collection dude.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep my dad gave me his nes and sega genesis and 17 games awhile back which is what got me into retro games

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Use commas. I thought you were saying a Wii Xbox I was like "wazzat"

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I read "Wazzat" in Jontron's voice.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always wonder... how much time to you spend playing games daily, to play through all these games?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I envy your collection, enjoy them.

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

I forgot, where is this from?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The character style and appearance is featured in quite a few period gung fu movies.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm betting that some of the older ones are, anyway... or he's just really good at yard sale and thrift shop finds.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Keep going, kid. Enjoy every game, and don't let anybody tear down this wonderfull hobby.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Took me forever to get a PS3, the PS4 was out before I got a PS3. Then got a PS4, had to sell it because of money issues, and recently 2/3

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Nice collection! I've been looking for a Dreamcast for a while now, haha. Just recently got a NES. I just wish I had a CRT to play Duck Hunt

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But remember don't buy a HD or digital CRT set they don't work on light guns and have the same problems as lcds

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Go to thrift stores man buy one anywhere between 1$ to 50$ usally

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok, good idea! I've never seen them there before, but then again I never really paid attention. Biggest problem is gonna be transporting it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anything above 27 inches is impossible to pick up by yourself and if you find some try to find one with component and s video preferably a

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sony , JVC Toshiba or panasonic

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used to have a Sony one and a Panasonic one, both were great. I'll probably aim for something smaller, so it's easy to move and set up.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i dont often upvote a post from a 14year old, but that's a nice collection and you're damn well educated knowing about the wonders of c64&co

9 years ago | Likes 119 Dislikes 7

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 23

It's random Could be 5 could be 40$ it's according to what I find at the thrift store if it's rare like the commodore 64 and they want 40$

How is it his he gave me the NES and Genesis and 17 games but the rest is hunting at thrift stores every week with my dad ofc I can't drive

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 5

Because people are jealous.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

People are assholes and think at 14 you can't have possessions you've earned.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sadly the widescreen crt is broken but it was a hd crt one of the last produced eben had hdmi

9 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 14

Is that a Trinitron? I've still got one of those beasts. Bought a special table to just hold it's massive weight.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No megaman legends 2? :(

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i see no denial of the first statement :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn't even know that was a thing. Weird.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You would be surprised what kind of CRTs were made they have far better picture quality then LCDs they are just extremely inconvenient

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had the same one! 81cm (I think) widescreen CRT. It weighed a TON!

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

What's that in freedom units?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never occurred to me that a CRT could have hdmi

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are quite common mine supports 720p-1080i looks better then 99% of LCDs it's a fact that's CRTs have better picture just inconvenient

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So you're telling me I can get a 1080p CRT? Time for ebay.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1080p crt TVS do not exist BUT alot of CRT monitors support it like the Sony GDM-fw900 it goes of to 2304x1440 at 80hz whick is 2k!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
