It's free and open source!

I'd love your support as I've worked really hard on this project and I wanted to create something even the most novice computer users could use.

If you want to download it you can get it at https://ulterius.io/

If you want to contribute to the project its available on Github https://github.com/Ulterius

If you have Twitter you can follow my partner and I

No convoluted steps, just login using your existing computer account.

Fast, low bandwidth remote-desktop that works on the slowest networks.

Monitor your hardware and network performance.

Use cmd, powershell and windows-bash.

Browse all your files

Or search through them instantly

Monitor, kill and start processes.

Turn any webcam into a home security camera.

That time when the homepage example has the same CPU as me, and I panic for a moment.

This looks shady, unlike downloadmoreram.com

This thing looks amazing but every time I see the name I think of uterus...

Suggestion: Allow me to tell it what domain I've pointed to it so it can use the Let's Encrypt API to grab a CA signed SSL certificate.

Login to uterus

I'm just worried that OP had ulterior motives for this...

A commit from one of your friends repo: "like I have any idea what's changed here, I made these edits like a year ago.", I laughed out loud.

are you planning a mobile app? I usually access my computer through my phone and it's a life saver

+1 for watamota

@op I'm having a hard time connecting to the server with everything but the host computer. Any tips?

Pretty similar interface to iServer (which has a good interface). Looks intuitive.

Pretty great idea

I don't need it but I'll Upvote because of reference and presentation. I hope it all pans out :D

@OP Holy fuck, I freaked out because I use the exact same image as my profile image.

I'm ignorant with things like this, so quick question: Is this secure? If I use this to remote into my PC, can you or others see/record?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It is secure and only you have access to it and can control if it even appears to the internet or not.

Looks cool, but I'm always cautious of installing remote management software. Some developers have ulterius motives. +1 for open source.

You guys working on an android app? I'm always willing to help.out with open source stuff...

We could use some help on that front, follow me on Twitter and we can DM @Andrewmd5

Read it every time as uterus...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're funny you

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks nice, I've been working on something similar for a while, but it looks like you saved me a lot of trouble :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So far, it's good! However, multi monitor screen share support coming anytime soon? Also, is there anywhere/anyway to formally report bugs?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nevermind, I realised that can be done on GitHub.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anyone else initially think the app was called Uterus?

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Had to read it twice, then went to the comments to see if someone said this

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is FANTASTIC! Well done man! I'm having a few issues with loading system information. Nothing comes up within a 5 minute window.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm also wondering how I would log into it from an outside connection. Would I just type in the public IP and it finds my computer there.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd also like to be able to wake it from sleep remotely, would that be possible? Thanks again, This app is awesome!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 questions 1. streaming games with it is it possible *going to test it myself* and 2 if we like it alot is there a way to donate?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I played Quake Online through the screenshare

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Windows only? Which browsers do you support? And do you require ports to be forwarded etc?

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Mac and Linux soon, fixing bugs, all modern browsers, and no it will forward them for you.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Thanks! Will give it a try.

Why is there a server component? Does the user run the server or does the users client connect to your servers?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Imgur is a horrible medium for me to ask these questions lmao

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The "server" runs on your computer so that you can connect from any browser.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm always gonna read it as uterus for some reason. Hope you're cool with that

9 years ago | Likes 128 Dislikes 0

That's okay, cause uteri are great

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too, and there's nothing OP can do about that.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Had to go back and re-read to confirm that it indeed DID NOT say uterus.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I saw this and knew this comment would be here, because I had the same thing happen.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can never unsee it now. Thanks.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

does it come with tomoko?

9 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

this is critical information, you sir, ask the right questions

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sadly no.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Whats tomoko?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Kuroki tomoko. The protag from the anime WataMote, which is in the gif OP put in the beginning of this post.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

oooh. i found the anime online but thought tomoko was something technical.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Does it work without port forwarding though? That's the main reason I stick to TeamViewer, I can use it on lots of machines on the same IP

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just install and run it, it will work without port forwarding.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

OK, so I can get it to connect via localhost but it's just timing out when I try it remotely. Any way to make an account or have (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

unique computer IDs so I don't have to remember IPs?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you connecting to your public ip when doing it remotely? Also you could register a domain and point it at the address

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, I am. And I have a subdomain for that purpose, but my point is there are multiple computers on the same one IP...
