I remember my Mom having this exact crock pot in the 90s into the early 2000s before getting a new one.

A new Rival has appeared.

Currently crocking black-eyed peas and peppered pork jowl. Smells like heaven.

I still use a crock pot like the one in the thumbnail

Crockin, crockin and rolling.

First, props for the whistlepig in the back. Second, I swear by my crock pot, the old and the new. Amazingly easy and time saving.

This is the kind of thing I came here for

+1 for slow cooker liners.

No no. Let the them earn their deserved flavor stripes

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Noooo! They don't get that roasty crock smell in there. Those go straight in the trash.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm probably paranoid, but I don't like heating things up in plastic. I just don't trust it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Glad you mentioned this had no idea they existed. I was wondering why someone would put cling wrap in a crock pot????

My gf bought me one of these and I'm addicted to it now. It solved my problem of affordably feeding myself.

You made my stomach growl. Bravo, man...Bravo

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You see a line of crocks, I see a crock centipede.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That first Crock-Pot is the one that owned until it fell off of my washing machine a few weeks ago. Kinda sad it's gone.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

On the up side, now you can get an Instant Pot.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have the same one stashed in my cupboard, haven't gotten around to using it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love the fuck out of my crock pot! Share Recipes!

I was looking for this comment

Yes it's a reference to spinal tap

Gotta assume it's from spinal tap! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOO5S4vxi0o

As a crock pot soup de jour fancy guy, have a green arrow.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My husband & I were married in 1981. We received 4 crockpots!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I have seen many things in life...but not this. Um, thanks!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

What a crock

Seeing all of those old-school models made me channel my Kansas upbringing. Then I saw the KC Chiefs themed crock pot! Funny.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Fellow Kansan, I inherited my mom's old crock pot!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I actually just had Italian beef from my crock pot tonight. A little provolone cheese & giardeniera on a sub roll, good stuff.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I just had some tonight too!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dammit, I want that!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Are you from the Midwest? I'm from IL everyone has a recipe!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah Illinois, too, originally. Missouri now. Can't make the 8 hour drive to Chicago too often, so I'm pretty satisfied with my recipe.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is awesome. I've been in VA now for the last 14 years. I make my moms recipe. It's like going home.

Can I use a crockpot for cheese fondue? To keep it warm while eating.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They have Little Dipper Crock pots just for this.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes but do you realize how much cheese that would take to produce a dippable depth. Mountain upon mountains of cheese.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I have an ancient 1 liter crockpot. It's not wide and fairly tall.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Depends on the Crock-Pot. And in Switzerland, fondue is often served as a mountain of melted cheese

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Probably an unpopular opinion, but crock-pot cooked chicken is disgusting. It's so watery and slimy. The texture is revolting.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 5

100% agree

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You aren't supposed to eat it like rotisserie or fried chicken, it is more for cooking, cooling, and taking it all off to use in soup.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Yeah I agree it's good for that, but lots of people make it to eat straight out of the cooker and it grosses me out.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

You should try pressure cooker chicken. It's amazing.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I'm super paranoid about pressure cookers bc everyone flips saying they explode. Are they LIKELY to explode or are people using it wrong

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Came to say the same. Got a pressure cooker. Crock pot is dead to me.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

It's amazing, I can make so many things in it, and it all comes out way better and way faster.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

+1 for KC Chiefs.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Black n gold !!!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+1 for Pittsburgh Steelers

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'll take teams that are going to lose to the Patriots for $400 Alex.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

50/50 chance. But Brady doesn't like to get hit-he throws a fit when he does. He's not going to like Harrison.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I still have you a +1, if that counts.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Would have preferred the win tonoight....but thanks...atleast I know that I can get points....unlike the Chiefs.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's bad when your team gets two more touchdowns than the other team and still loses
