so you've got six assemblers with two belts in a tileable 9x12 pattern. this is trivial to assemble in a 10x9 space so you must be proud of the diagonal assembler pattern and the snaking input belt.
At an assembler layout that trades building resources for space. This blueprint packs 6 assemblers in a 12x9 area without using long inserters or belt weaving. Hope you like it :-)
It certainly works and is even compatible with yellow belt. While I do appreciate the effort in the design, it feels like a solution looking for a problem.
Not really a solution to anything. I saw it while playing around with belt designs and I just built it. I think it's fun and I haven't seen it before so I thought I'd share it to see what people think.
you have copper spools coming in from the bottom that go into the center route. left container has plastic. right container is green circuit cards. Massive throughput of red cards. you can do the same for green. just remove the blue containers and directly pipe in steel to the outer ring and then you have a mass producer of green.

The only design I can think of in 10x9 is this, but I wouldn't say it's trivial. Did you have something else in mind?
Einstein9073
That was the design I was thinking of, although I imagined some red inserters as well.
Einstein9073
Sorry, I didn't mean to be mean with the word trivial.

I have only 280 hours in Factorio, what the fuck am I looking at?
alcamar
That's a fair reaction to virtually any Factorio post

I'll show you some real assemblers when i get home.

I had to add in some extra copper wire intakes on the green so it could keep up with demand.

... and on Nauvis (very traditional design)

Very nice designs! So far, my factories for green circuits look like this on Vulcanus
UWAGAGABLAGABLAGABA
Nice, but 1 copper factory can't keep up with 6 red factories
