Nicely worded I didn't connect all those points.

Guns make killing easier, regardless of whether it's due to poor mental health or to protect. We can't prevent mental health problems.

or you know... solve the root of the problem and shoot the kids while they're all unarmed still.

you can make a lot of money posting this all day

I'd take his perspective more seriously if he didn't launch it using a snotty insult. Be civil and be constructive to engage w/opponents.

Also, I personally hate when people (on any side) throw around the term "child". He was a minor, yes, but 17 isn't exactly a "child".

Or the parents failed to secure the gun in the first place. Why is this not mentioned?

"The child was able to get a gun & bring it to school" Pro tip: your replies will be more effective if you read the post you're replying to

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Maybe your reading comprehension is... lacking? The gun was not his. Why are his parents not being held accountable for not securing the gun

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Um. Okay. "We need to focus on how the child got the gun!" You: "why isn't anyone asking how the child got the gun??" Keep it up I guess?

Don't trust Snopes

i couldnt find a snopes on this

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Nah, trust the fabricated nonsense they debunk, instead.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They don't debunk, they fabricate more nonsense. Do the research yourself.

The only people who say that shit are the ones with an interest in perpetuating the bullshit. It’s not like you’ve provided any examples.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're looking for a fight. I'm not interested in it. I simply invited people to research and think for themselves. You have broken rhetoric

Calling someone a fantasizing fetishist is not exactly civilized or calm. Either way, the good guy with a gun won and it was already illegal

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 12

"The good guy with the gun won" is answered by the points above. 1, why was that necessary; 2, deterrence (a common argument) didn't work

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Violence isn't always the answer but it's always relevant. You don't know what it did deter until now. Evil can't be legislated away.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A fetishist is different from a hobbyist or an enthusiast.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think we all know this, what is your point?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Calling someone a fetishist is perfectly civilized and calm. It’s a pretty accurate description for some people.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Some, but not the majority. Stereotyping is bad for good discourse. Either way it's immaterial. Liberty is at stake, not recreation

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

What PC term for a fantasizing fetishist do you suggest?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

I'm as politically incorrect as they come. That is not relevant. It is a backhanded attempt at demonizing the opposition. Which should stop.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 6

I agree.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Its a joke? He's using satire to emphasize a point, he doesn't literally think (most) pro gun people beat their meat to their guns

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This isn't a joking matter. Today's society bases ethos on humor. Ergo the rise of comedy based news sources. It's dangerous

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Haha, you’re as “politically incorrect as they come,” until you’re offended by somebody else’s words. That’s the point I was making. Thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

I don't think you understand anything. I suggest spending less time being argumentative on the internet.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

It’s totally different when you’re the one whining about somebody’s words, isn’t it?
