This trio is the most bad ass gang ever

Everyone remembers the BLT, the trio of "brothers" who were rescued from a drug dealer's home in 2001. What you probably didn't know is that Baloo (bear) and Shere Khan (tiger) recently lost their brother Leo (lion) on August 11, 2016.

Baby Leo (2001)

Leo hadn’t been himself the past few weeks and because numerous diagnostics tests couldn’t explain his symptoms of inappetence and lethargy, he was scheduled for exploratory abdominal surgery.

During the procedure, the veterinarians at Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary discovered that over 80% of Leo's liver was full of inoperable masses. Because of this, the heart-wrenching decision was made to let him go.

Baloo and Shere Khan were able say goodbye to Leo and have been doing remarkably well since his death.

RIP Leo (2001-2016)

I recently learned that Leo had passed away, and thought that with the Imgur community should know. I have seen the images and story of this trio reposted many times over the years and figured it was only right that tribute was paid to such a magnificent band of brothers. You will be missed Leo.

Dicks out for Leo

I live in the area and go the Noah's Ark often. Every animal there has a story similar to this. There are 100s of them.

Maybe if they had not over fed them that as much as they do, he would still be alive, sad that he could take care of him well enough

Because they were caged for so long as young ones, they don't seem to understand exercise or at least play. They just don't move much.

that is the fault of their keepers and nutritionists, who did not provide them with enough enrichment or monitoring their diet
