Currently posting from the passenger seat of my car in the bed of a tow truck. It's something I always wanted to do as a kid and it's pretty awesome. Also not completely legal in my state.

Like the guy in bus taking a selfie pic

Car broke down on a road trip with 6 of us in the car. Bunch of us kids rode in the back with the dog in the drivers seat, it was a blast!

Oh my god that would be so much fun!

Pics or it didn't happen.

I did that once. Was cool until the car fell off the tow truck.

Had too much to drink? free towing service from your insurance or AAA? Call tow truck. You keep drinking and your car in there in morning

You rebel scum. I love it.

You.son.of.a.bitch. that sounds like fun

I need to see Will Smith with a gang of thots after this, because that man looks like he's staying strong, not happy.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should honk until the driver goes faster

One of the work trucks broke down. Took like 6 hours for a large enough truck to come 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They got pizza and beer and sat in the broke down truck as it was towed.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Weird. Usually you can ride in the cab. Clutch went out on an off ramp, got an 80mi tow in bumfuck FL. Had a nice long chat with the driver.

Lots of companies are forbidding it right now, my managers and I couldn't even ride in the same car to grab rewards (its been a hard time

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and everyone pushed extra hard recently since we had a sudden spike in work. ) so its possible that its the same for the tow

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Super cool, did you have to put the seat down and hide?

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah I reclined and had a nice little nap it was a long drive

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

i once got to ride in a turret, in a 5 ton, on a het. it was pretty neat

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Great take. Can you back it up with photographic proof?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

did that on a motorcycle.

127 mile tow? Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a new car?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Luckily it only cost me less than 800, but the place before I called that tow driver was trying to charge me 1200

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tow driver hated you that much?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Because of covid it's illegal to ride up front, and although it's not super legal to ride in the back he felt the odds were better.

Aren’t there some routes where truckers put their entire rig on a train and sleep in their cabs.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure, but one company I was talking to was trying to look into going by ferry to see if it was faster

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used to live in London. There’s regular talk about using boats to replace trucks there.

Was it Maurice and Sons roadside assistance out of Madison Wisconsin? Anyway......not legal in any state. Hope it was fun anyway

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why....will Maurice and Sons do that? 'Cause I'm willing to slash my tires for that.

5 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

Lol. Idt so. But I know the owner of that place is big time male whore

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not legal, but oddly enough safer.

5 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 4

Safer than sitting next to the truck driver?

It's not legal in the UK but they've been allowed to do it due to coronavirus.

Ive asked to do this a couple times always got denied super jelly

5 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 1

Actually because if covid, this is the norm now. I work at a body shop and can confirm many customers ride in the car now. I'll have to...

Snap a photo the next time it happens.

.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I bet COVID issues would let that pass for now!

You can be driving a semi incorrectly placard as long as you got medical supplies somewhere they can't search apparently. So I've been told.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

First off, don't listen to drivers. Second off, whether or not they can search, they can check your bills. Third, they can still search.

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

yup. every warehouse ive worked in they always say dont trust the drivers and 2nd never let them pay you to skip the line

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It never occured to me to try to bribe for faster loading/unloading. Shame, there are several places I went where it might have worked.
