I knew the part where the Little Cesar’s founder helped care for Rosa Parks until her passing. I did not know the park where human beings thought it was ok to rob and beat Rosa Parks.

Our local shelter requires you to sign up for a weekly schedule for 3 months at a time...like they beg for money and volunteers but make it incredibly inaccessible

These kind of rules are for the dogs benefit, not the shelters. The dogs have ended up in a shelter for reasons which may have left trauma (and the shelter itself is often super stressful, so just coin tossing a new human every day can be too much. You have to know that the walker knows what they're doing to keep everyone safe. If the dog is stressed into biting, that's usually a death sentence for it. Where I live I believe you have to sign a contract for a year, and they do background checks.

My university brings in dogs a couple of times a semester (usually around midterms and the week before finals) for students to come hang out with.

A lot of colleges do this, and lemme tell you the staff loves it just as much as the students! We get stressed out, too!
Some athletic trainers even bring their dogs to work with them, they act as therapy dogs for the athletes getting rehabs (and their friends who come in to see said dogs).

You pretend to not understand this so let me explain it to you. Shooting other drug dealers during the course of your drug dealing actually gives you positive credibility in the drug dealing community (and the rap music community).
In contrast, a black man likes Snoop speaking positively about a racist like a Donald Trump causes Snoop to lose his credibility with those same communities.
