Disney Stories You Don't Hear As A Child

Every new person gets these but it's pretty embarrassing when people look at you like you're a freak. The only comfort was I wasn't the only one.

What an offing nightmare. I was DRENCHED! But I still kept smiling because that's what we do.

So the little girl was too short. I explained to the woman that it's dangerous if the child doesn't meet the height requirement. The little girl, like 6 YO, was completely cool with it and I gave them passes to rides she was tall enough for.

The mom continues to scream at me and looks at my name tag. My name is Leighann (pronounced Lee Ann). She angrily calls me Legan (Lee GAN) and turns me in to guest relations under that name.

Later my manager comes to me and tells me I did the right thing and I was not in trouble. But now I am forever known as Legan and everyone calls me that to this day.

This entire story made me happy and sad. The little girl had cancer and was there as part of a Make-A-Wish dream come true vacation. Many of these kids don't have long to live or are in pretty bad shape. She was actually in a wheel chair.

When she gets out of the chair to see if she's tall enough, she was and her whole family was ecstatic. They told me she had come here last year and was too short.

I gave them passes to rides in the whole park, VIP seating at a few shows, and other things so they could get through lines quicker and see everything.

That night before close and before the fireworks show (that she had VIP passes to from earlier) she found me and gave me the biggest hug and told me "Thank You". Her mom hugged me too and said "You've really made her vacation and we are so grateful!"

I cried like a bitch with her family for like 5 minutes until they left to see the fireworks. I am crying as I write this...

We had all sorts of conventions, but drunk business people are by far my favorite. Except when they throw up every where. He was really nice about it though and even helped us clean.

I do not like roller coasters and the one I worked at goes upside down. When my trainer told me I was going to have to ride, I was terrified and shaking. The guests waiting in line were cheering me on screaming "YOU CNA DO IT!" I survived and now love that ride.

My family couldn't afford a Disney vacation when I was growing up so being there was like being a little kid. I got so giddy every time I drove under the Disney sign on my way to work.

It was awesome to see this and the little boy looked so happy. Of course there were other adults staring and making smarts comments, but I really think this little boy's parents are doing parenting right!

I LAUGHED OUT LOUD when I heard that little white girl. And he mom looked so proud. The little black girl's parents weren't even mad at all. In fact, the dad looked at his daughter and said, "that's what you get for being mean"

What a little brat this child was. I stood my ground that there's only one Mickey and she walked away in a huff!

If you ever get to/have gone to Disney, you've done this. If not, you're missing out! Just brings a decent amount of money. It gets expensive...

Seriously? WTF?

As a Disney Cast Member we're not allowed to get "star-struck" because we're supposed to be creating the experience for all guests. This was tough. I wish I could have documented my celebrity encounters.

Sad but true. I get taunted about it...
