Food ranger's YouTube channel anyone?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These are actually pretty easy to make at home in a pan. They won't be as large, but they're just as good.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

looks like it could feed a family of 12

I regret not getting one of these when I was in china

Convergent evolution of food; They're almost identical to French Crepes, but there is no direct cultural influence.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

“What’s better than pancakes?” “What?” “Huge fucking pancakes” “Hell yes” “But wait, there’s more” “Oh” “We use a spinning grill” “Shut up!”

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

aww?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No. But cool, anyway.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was questioning the "aww" tag that op put on this post

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tsk oh yeah well.... the other morning.. I made eggs without burning them! Take that! Haha! I can do things too!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Your mom is one of China's most popular street breakfasts.

8 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 12

And late night snacks!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

I love crepes!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is so ineffective and labor intensive that it hurts to watch. Would still eat.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was thinking that too. They must cost $20 each to make it worth the time it takes to make. Kudos on those skills tho!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Somewhere in China's far off past, a man bemoans his great hunger; But all he owns is a windshield wiper and a pottery wheel.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Also a paintbrush and spackleing knife.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

looks like someone was very hungry n ate the pixels

This comment is truly a Great Leap Forward in quality

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

China’s economy cannot support all the pixels so they limit everyone to 2 pixels each. Look it up.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Why would anyone eat that movie?

I miss these anyone got a good recipe for them? I've tried (and failed).

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Well, if you don't have a spinning cooktop...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I miss jianbing so much, after eating them for breakfast for months. So hard to find good ones and no chance replicating at home

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

there's a place called mr. Bing in nyc that makes them. one of the best things i ve tasted.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

https://youtu.be/oZ53C5uHoXw I've gone off this recipe and tweaked some of the ingredients, using millet flour and starch, fried wonton (1)

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...skin instead of you tiao, plus minced jiang cai for flavoring, you might have to change up the sauce to your liking, enjoy! (end)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks tasty

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What's the stuff they put on top after?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the brown stuff near the end? i'm guessing it's thick soy sauce which is often served with it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

or some other kind of soy sauce

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

wonton

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The flip off... How... Huh... Wut...

8 years ago | Likes 257 Dislikes 3

Yep, that was worth the wait

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not even that hard - inertia and centrifugal force help.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone make a gif of the flip by itself

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Inertia.

My stupid self thought that you meant that someone held the middle finger to the camera

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Doing anything thousands of times will make you freakily good at it.

8 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

Being Asian also helps. They're really good at things.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You could be too if you apply yourself...and your entire family and cultural structure expects you to be the best at whatever you do.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I walked up and down the stairs a thousand times but i still manage to trip at the last few steps at least once a month!

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

That means you're getting good at tripping.

There's a guy with over 8k games on Heimerdinger in League of Legends and he can't get out of Bronze.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Doing stuff thousands of times won't make you freakily good at it. You only get good if you try to get good.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What did you eat every other other morning?

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

This

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Every other morning was an exaggeration, there are so many kinds of breakfast food it’s hard to describe, I should find pictures and post

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Explains the username

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I don't travel much. Is a "street breakfast" a popular thing?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep. I think in most of China its tradition to have breakfast outside, or go out in the morning and buy it home.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is the "that" that Meatloaf refers to in his 90s hit "I would do anything for love"?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’m afraid I’m out of my depth here, sorry

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I was a kid my sister told me it was burning down a school. It was only a couple years ago I realized that she made that up.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm so glad I asked the question. This is gold.

Be unfaithful

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which part of China? I don't recall ever seeing these in Wuhan, but China is enormous

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

This originated from very upper north east I think, (think Dongbei) but you can find it in a few large cities like Beijing or Tianjin.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I don't remember seeing it neither (Zhenjiang, Jiangsu).

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are there flat-earthers in China as well? I'm wondering if they really are all across the globe.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This guy gets it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don’t think they care about conspiracy theories as much. I’m sure there are but they’re more focused on government conspiracies if anythin

If I can carry two cups of coffee and 9 doughnuts. Am I the most popular bloke at a nudist beach?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Depends on who you give the donuts to... but on a more serious note, girth > length, so you’re out of luck with that little chopstick.

I'm heading to China soon for 4 weeks for work. Any tips? I only got the hint: "have fun with taxis" -.-

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where in China? It’s an extremely diverse country, so depending on where you go the results might be extremely different

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

thought so. Near Shanghai: Changzhou.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s a bit down south than what I’m used to, also quite a small city (cuz I’m used to Beijing’s scale lol). The most important things is to-

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eat freshly cookd food, especially when it comes 2 street food. Don’t eat something jst because locals are, they have a different immunity.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you poop a lot, is it hard to find public restrooms there? @misspoopsalot

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Interesting question... umm, I generally don’t poop outside my house. But it’s rather easy to find toilets, given the places I spend time at

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Only poop at home?! You're unworthy of that username.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With that said, keep in mind I only usually stay at lavish places in one of the largest cities in China, so I can’t speak for the country

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What are the ingredients and how much does it cost?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Cost.. well, back in the day they were like 50c US or maybe even less... nowadays I’d imagine it to be 2-3 dollars US.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This particular type of pancake/crepe is made out of cornflour, the sauce is usually a mix of fermented bean paste, fermented tofu etc

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I ate it a lot in China. Amazing stuff

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I miss all the food in China

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What does it look like?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They fold it into a rectangle, yellow due to cornflour, and the skin is a little crunchy. It’s savoury and full of flavour and umami

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Delightful!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you think that is what induced all the excessive pooping?

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I wouldn’t call it excessive... since I spent most of my life on New Zealand and only a few years in China... I just eat a lot

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

If a train leaves the station heading south from Beijing at 10km/h at 3pm how much penis do you enjoy on a typical Sunday?

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

On a typical Sunday afternoon I have my trusty not penis friend to spend quality time with :3

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

God speed

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How big is it when it is handed over to the customer? Looks to be about 3’ long in the last frame.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They fold it quite a few times, but it’s a bit larger than A5, smaller than putting two hands flat next to each other (large hands)
