1. That's a hell of a knife! 2. Putting raw meat in a wicker basket? 3. Cute puppy. This post has it all!

Easy 1 step version: call grandma.

5 years ago | Likes 305 Dislikes 0

Gen Z: *calls grandma* "Grams, can you make Piti?" Millenial Grandma: "What's this about Young Jeezy again?"

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I can't... my grandma died last year... have no more grandmas or grandpas... :-(

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He was a good boy.

5 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

They're all good boys, bront.

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Classic sheepdog, keeping constant guard over his flock, right up until their remains are fully disposed of.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately looks like his ears have been cropped ?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not a knife.......now that's a knife: Woman

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Traditional food is the best

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They are stirring up in a lot of old stuff over there at the moment...

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The dog needed a little something at the end. Loved watching all the clips. Hope she washed that cleaver,

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And the cutting board

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That looks amazing. Does she fight werewolves at night with that bloody knife though?

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Once side cuts meat, the other side cuts -meat!-

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They tried once and never came again since. That grandma is hardcore.

Seeing all these cooking posts with huge cleavers made me want to order one. I got one and I feel like a badass now.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's prob gonna be a traditional Turkish dish in a few years lmao.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

It's a traditional Armenian dish, that's already been turned into an "Azerbaijani" one apparently.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Fucked up, but probably accurate. LOL!

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Grandma looted that cleaver off an orc that bad-mouthed her soup.

5 years ago | Likes 1035 Dislikes 1

Everything in this looks hand-forged. I'll bet you either this family or one nearby has a blacksmithing forge.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

More like she looted the recipe off of a dead Armenian.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you sir/ ma'am / other for my first genuine laugh of the day.

Put Crocodile dundee knife to shame

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And didn't let that orc go to waste, either.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

MANSWINE!!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is why i love the comments ?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Then she occupied that hobbit homestead.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Or an Armenian

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Difference between Armenians and Azeris is that Armenians don't attack old grandmas with meat cleavers.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Both of her knives are interesting

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

MEAT IS BACK ON THE MENU, BOYS!

5 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

I was thinking of The Butchers cleaver from Diablo.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Couple clay pots, paring knife, wobbly cutting board, wood fire and OLUM THE GOD CLEAVER is all you need for this rustic traditional stew.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are this couple on UberEats?

5 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Probably an Armenian recipe that was also stolen

5 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 7

Yup

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ayo

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Unfortunately, I live in a town without piti

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We have it in Iran too, Dizi. One of my favourites

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that was like $700 worth of saphron!

5 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Or like $7 for a farmer. Things get more expensive when they're distributed and re-sold.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I got very worried about their fiscal decison making after watching that..

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hahaha same .. came down here to comment about the saffron as well

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lamb, the cheap meat thats expensive in the states.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Looks like mutton, kinda big for lamb.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So the dog being right there when you're cooking is universal?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

those look like roadkill crows that have been covered in road dust for a week. . . ugh

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know where I'm going when this pandemic is over.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Watch out for the genoside

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Instructions unclear. Fell into Darvaza Gas Crater in Turkmenistan. Please advise.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Wear sunscreen!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I need that knife in my kitchen. For home defense

5 years ago | Likes 214 Dislikes 2

what from the armies of Mordor?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

home defence? i want to cook with it! looks useful with such a large blade for moving your cut ingredients around

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Get a cleaver :)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Check Almazan kitchen my friend

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Found my husband's christmas. Thanks!

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

this deserves more upvotes

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That looks like a lot of work!

5 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 0

Yes, but a very pleasant alternative for all the "deep-frying-this-bread-and-cheese-is-super-good" -food posts that we normally get.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

A lot of work, but it looks really good. Well made soups are more filling with smaller servings.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Plenty of time when u don't have internet

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Making six portions though ... good stews and soups take a few hours. I make an 8-hour ragu; this is nothing compared to really complex food

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nothing good comes easy!

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

But that soup isn’t good!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Curling up in a blanket with a cup of tea and a good book, watching it rain outside while you stay dry and warm?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But all good things are 3

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's probably all she does. Labour of love

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I'm gonna guess that's NOT all she does, they do most everything by hand, like our ancestors used to before we became a throw away world! ?

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

That's what i meant. I meant her job is life. Not just cooking

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you watch the video you'd see its not just her doing the work. Definitely equal share. No men's work / women's work bullshit.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sure you're correct

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sometimes I wish I could stay home, cook and bake and clean and sew clothes all the time. But I’m a modern American woman so

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

American woman so..... is there supposed to be another comment or did i reply too fast? Hahaha

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So... implies yeah I don’t think I can realistically get away with that. We try to meet expectations. Especially those of us who aren’t RICH

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ahhh gotcha. My wife wouldn't and couldn't i don't think although she's not American hahaha I'm the homemaker in my household

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So. Much. Saffron.

5 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 0

Yeaaaaaaah. That would be a pretty spendy soup in the States.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This might be safflower, sometimes called saffron. I have some in my spice rack, it’s quite mild. And cheap.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

From another video featuring her, the saffron used isn't the expensive kind. It's a different variation

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

That's not actual saffron, it's safflower, a cheaper version.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think they used whole saffron, the kind we buy here is only a small part of it, so more flavourful.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Saffron is the orange stamens of a purple flowered crocus.they are more likely using safflower petals which are orange

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was wondering if saffron was a common and easily accessable spice in azerbaijan to call this dish "traditional".

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

The saffron crocus is believed to have originated in that part of the world, and 90% of the world's saffron is grown in neighboring Iran.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Right? I'd love to try this, but I don't have $100 to make a single serving.

5 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

Not that expensive, surely.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 10

Not quite, but still about $5-$10 per pot

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Saffron is ~$15/g, $1,162.24 per pound, or $72.95 per ounce. Expensive as hell compared to most spices.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I know! I was like "that's a lot of saffron. Isn't saffron crazy expensive?"

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

It is, and also a really powerful flavour. A dash’ll do ya.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Its only expensive if you buy it, probably grows on the hill behind her house. Alot of Saffron comes from Azerbaijan.

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

I have a whole ounce! Keeps forever!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good to know. Thanks. Also, cool.
