Toast the seasoning in oil over low heat. It brings the flavor out way better. Just have the meat ready to put in to cool it down.

I made it last night. I like it, I've had it a few times now. It's hearty and spicy. Prob extra spicy b/c I skip (read: forget) the b sugar.

I've made it, albeit without beans. I don't agree with that beans should be in a chili. Id suggest adding a dark beer as it adds more flavor
