I used to travel to NYC weekly, and San Fran/Vegas monthly (with other trips regularly). I'd spend expense account money.
Trump's first term, I canceled all trips. All trips are canceled again.
So, yeah, even my spending is a drop in the bucket, but it adds up in small local border towns like Calais, ME (I lived across the river in New Brunswick, the economies were totally intertwined, I can easily see everything except gas, booze, grocery, walmart being in serious trouble.

My pointing out to my old school's staff (my mom still works there) that some of the school's students would be at risk in Florida (gay and/or trans kids) caused their planned US trip later this year to be cancelled. They're looking at options in Canada and southern America now.

When the happening happened, before travel was officially cut off, we were debating the wisdom of going and I eventually decided that I didn't want to be in a country where that was in charge during an emergency of any sort, potentially blocking my return home and winding up in a "relocation facility' or some shit.
