I learned some things

Crocodiles are seen in a while, whereas alligators are seen later; much easier to remember that way.

Alligators have C noses, and Crocodiles have A noses.

If it doesn't have a tail it's not a monkey, even if it has a monkey kinda shape. If it doesn't have a tail it's not a monkey it's an ape.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Alligators look like they go "grrrooooouuurrrrr..." Crocodiles look like they go "Myeeeaaaaaaaahhh..."

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

End fat shaming of bees and termites!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Apes consist of humans, chimps, orangutans, gorillas, and gibbons. Monkeys are the other primates except tarsirs, lemurs, and lorises.

https://youtu.be/psENhhkYMO8 my thoughts on the topic

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was told alligators have an A-shaped mouth and crocodiles have a C-shaped one. MY WHOLE LIFE HAS BEEN A LIE.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These are all things that I've learned more than once, and then forgotten again almost immediately... glad of the reminders :)

9 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 0

Glad you forgot, many are wrong.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There're land and water turtles. Turtles with high domed shells like box turtles are largely terrestrial but lower domed may be aquatic.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Box turtles?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bees also have fur.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*clears throat* WRONG! Gibbons are apes with tails. Frogs/toads are folk taxonomy. There are species of turtle that are terrestrial. SAD!

FAKE NEWS

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yay for teaching me things +1

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wonder if, all along, Zombie Kid actually liked tortoises.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what's the difference between a damselfly and a mayfly?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The toad frog one is incorrect. The differences are not so clear cut.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

the ape/monkey and turtle/tortoise are also not so clear.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Barbary macaques are monkeys which don't have tails. Monkeys run on top of branches and apes swing below because of their shoulder structure

Orthooontics

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Technically all tortoises are turtles

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

http://imgur.com/uGMB0GK, Wonder if he figured that one out

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Last one, the real difference is you see one later, and the other after a while

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah goodbye

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apes are also more upright than monkies and walk on their knuckles/fists instead of their palms.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This can help categorize drills and mandrills as monkeys even though they have little to no tail.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*monkeys (something looked off about that spelling and I just realized what it was)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the South, we call damselflies "witch doctors." I don't know why.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Way to fucking go Fiadh. Ya got it stuck in my head AGAIN.

Walla walla bing bang

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Frog/Toad is incorrect. It's a folk taxonomy.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

So is turtle/tortoise if I'm not mistaken.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

You are not mistaken.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

So is ape/monkey and tortoise/turtle

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

so is ape/monkey

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

(well, unlike the other two it's a real difference it just has nothing to do with tails)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually, if apes are not monkeys, we can't call NW monkeys monkeys either, because apes are more closely related to OW monkeys than (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Either group is to NW monkeys. So technically apes are a third group of monkeys (or even members of the OW monkey group!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Real talk- how innocent/sheltered do you have to be to not know the difference between a wasp and a bee?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ask OP, because that explanation is wrong, bees are as slender as wasps, only bumblebees are "chubby"...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like croc/alligator, that's cool, they live different places probably not near you and both will bite your shit- or at least look like it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But who hasn't seen a bumble-bee bumble and a wasp murder a muthafucka?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry, I don't know why we went on this journey... but thanks for coming along!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You forgot to mention wasps are winged cunts

9 years ago | Likes 391 Dislikes 3

Wasps are natures Apache Helicopters and they are wonderful.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's putting it lightly. Wasps are the descent of winged cunts that live in hell and love to create chaos and doom because they are both

9 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

One was in my jeep and repeatedly stung my ankle while going thru a drive thru lady thought I was on drugs I just started screaming

wasps may be dicks but the world would be filled with assholes (flys, musquitos, ...) without them

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lol not mine, personally but yes 100%

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Ok Shatner.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why can't we just eradicate wasps? What are they contributing that bees aren't?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

They are predators, like wolves or hawks. Their presence ensures that their prey's population levels are kept in check.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats a woefully ignorant comment, https://www.thoughtco.com/what-good-are-wasps-1968081

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, wasps pollinate more than bees do. This sort of nonsense is harmful to the health of a vital insect.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 16

They dont. Also they exterminate conplete bee colonies, causing less polination

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

More than that, wasps are terrible pollinators, as they aren't nearly as efficient at it, due to the fact that they aren't fuzzy.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I guess Filben thought my comment would spark the total extermination of winged cunts. Like I'm Hitler... v

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yellow jackets, one of the most common forms of wasps, not even feed on nectar like other wasps, and primarily eat other insects. Like bees.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

If all the wasps fucked off, the more mild-mannered bee population would inflate to make up for it, I'm sure. Wasps are territorial cunts.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Wasp don't pollinate that much. However, they are a natural predator to the Emerald Ash which infest trees.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All of these downvotes and negative comments are ignorant assholes. We would bee fucked without wasps.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Not really.Nature would recover easily, as the role wasps fill is already filled by many other animals. Spiders, frogs, birds, to name a few

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No. No no no no no no no.
