If the fleas are bad enough, it's advised to give them a bath (hopefully with gentle shampoo) on top of the flea treatment. Really helps.

I bathe mine once a month. They eat avoderm wet food and after a while they smell fishy. they don't mind it-throw all 3 in tub at once
