My guess is that it’s because we’re viewing this situation in hindsight so we all know what decision she made. Had she actually left him for abusing her kids and taken away his access to them, that would’ve at least been respectable but she didn’t so it shows what kind of person she actually is. It’s hard to imagine how we might have felt in an imaginary scenario where fantasy Boebert didn’t make the worst possible choice.
