Top drawer of a master autotech's toolbox. Took me about 5-7 years in the industry to get to finally fill up my top drawer.

Edit: wow people like tools! I'll take a try and take a better pic tomorrow. Hard to get an angle you can really appreciate. All the sockets are snap on. Mac tool box. Send pics of tools?

Me and dad were working on our truck with tools. We used the tools for all the things we did on the truck. Needless to say, we lost.

The only Mac worth spending $10k on.

This looks like a goddamn advertisement you've got the fuckin drawer organized to Shit bud!!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hmmm I'm guessing you've got. Lot of nuts too

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That many snapon sockets must have cost a fucking fortune.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If I showed you my tool bag and how unorganized it is, you would weep.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would take this drawer out on a date.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a surgical tech, I approve of these organization skills.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

*spends two hours organizing. Back to a mess after one project*

I have a lady boner. Straight. Female. Engineer. My ex was a genius engineer but never put tools back. aargh.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy hell. So you have ALL THE SOCKETS but evidently no wrenches? I love seeing wrenches all lined up neatly in my dad's boxes.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol wrenches are in a different drawer

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And not one of those sockets is a 10mm.

9 years ago | Likes 329 Dislikes 1

I keep a few of them on hand just for that reason

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Come to our Tool Room, nothing fucking but.

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

So that's where they all disappear too...

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Those only show up when you're looking for something else. and never any other time.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You must own a honda

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

And God made the 10 mm socket and It was goo ... Wait!! Where!!! It's fuckin gone!!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Where the fuck is the fucking..... Oh there it.... Nope nvm god fucking damnit"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where's the 13?

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

My eternal question

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why's it always the 13 that goes missing?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Can confirm. Have a box of 13 from buying more and eventually finding the others.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think every socket set should come with at LEAST 2x 10mm sockets.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

I have spare 8, 10 and 13 with in reach no matter where in the garage I am.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

12 for me, never 13, because japanese motorbikes. Oddly, most other things seem to have 13 instead of 12. 8-10-12-14-17, the holy hand-of-5

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always have a problem finding a deep 15mm.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bike mechanic?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Trying to resist saying 'your mom didn't'. I'm sure she's a lovely woman.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

All the 12 year old CoD players think so.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a really nice collection of wasted money you got there. As a master tech myself, I also spent thousands unnecessarily.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

I keep a full inventory of all my tools w/ part numbers and prices for insurance purposes...my wife found it one day and flipped out!

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

mmm mmm I bet that was a fun conversation

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Think of all the repairs you didn't have to pay for. Excluding parts.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did your wife pay for all your tools?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

No, but if you don't work in an industry were tools are a requirement, you won't know how expensive it can get. She thought I was (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

spending money unnecessarily just so I can have a new "toy" to play with. She still doesn't realize that I use most of what I have everyday.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry about all the times the rape truck touched your wallet inappropriately. Also +1

9 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 1

Hey! That wallet was asking for it!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I never understood why people buy snapon.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Dad likes the free replacements. Same with Craftsman. Bought a broken tool for cheap at a swap meet, took it to Sears, exchanged for new.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At 100x the cost of any other tools. Oh, you need 1 Phillips head screw driver? $90 please.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are very good tools, but as it's been said, they tear you a new one on the cost. Mind boggling when you know what it cost to make it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't they replace for free for life if anything breaks?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They do but plenty of other USA made brands do the same thing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Way more durable and reliable than the standard off the shelf variety, but even still, hard to justify the cost.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yeah I like a lot of Matco stuff. Went all snap on with the sockets. Some of my Matco ones would strip stuff sometimes

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd do tool truck for ratchets, torque wrenches, etc., but box wrenches and other things I go bargain most of the time. I don't work on>>

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

anything that I can't go buy a new bolt for if I have to mangle the thing out.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ever try Armstrong?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've got a large armstorng wrench set. They work, and are comfortable

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In comparison to other top brands, certain tools are more precise than cheaper brands, more durable(we break lots of tools) etc.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Also, imo, they have better ergonomics.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This. Their trailer anchor pin pusher is the only one I've found that never requires pulling of the hub to use. Saves 1hr per wheel.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That being said, I always laugh at the wrench sets that require a bank loan.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There's an old joke about that. The only regret I'll have on my deathbed is not telling my wife exactly how much I spent on those tools.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think it might be "My greatest fear is dying and my wife selling off my tools for the amount I told her I spent on them."

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes. This is more descriptive.
