I lost that years ago with the vision in my left eye. Asked the doc if I could have a fake one with a laser pointer for my cats, but alas no.

Perspective is different from binocular vision, though they add up. You get perspective with a one-lens camera.

But speaking of light-up eyes: https://youtube.com/watch?v=tud8eEaE5VU

Why do so many modern rap songs sound like people muttering barely intelligibly under the iPhone chimes alarm/ringtone?

Because they don't know music theory, and they're just selecting from a list of sounds that somebody put together into a pile.

Is that different from older rap songs? The lazy speaking is perceived as part of being "smooth", and to intentionally cause confusion so that people outside are labeled slow, like the emperor's new clothes thing. Or idiotsaywhat!? Aaron earned an iron urn. But many artistic and cultural movements have this dynamic of "inside joke" they use to taunt others, especially gallery art market. They take advantage of people trying to define what's good to do the money laundering.

Who you into?

I used to listen to Eminem, Dr. Dre, Nas, Flo-Rida, Snoop & I dunno, a few others when I was a teenager. I still listen to some of them once in a while, but my tastes include a lot of different genres now.

I dunno, I’m an old fuck and old fucks never like new music lol

Speak for yourself bro... thats the magic of stations getting introduced to new stuff
If you like that you should try Coast Contra, Run the Jewels, Prof, that Mexican OT, Maxo Kream, Year of the Ox.
Lots of these sound very modern 90s

There’s actually a reason for this. Let me see if I can find a couple links. Give me a couple hours. I’m at work.

Sorry to let you all down but I can’t find the interview clip I was looking for. It goes into a lot of detail about rap and AAVE and how different cultures consume music in general.
