I started a teaching job at a different school. My 18th yr teaching hs sciences usually AP/college credited, but this yr at an alternative hs. One of my classes is the science part of beauty school. I'm so out of my element.

I'm actually fascinated that I never thought about something like this. Of course they need science in beauty school. Perhaps a bit more of a narrow focus than a general science course (I'm guessing)? But the fact that it exists and it never even occurred to me that it would exist makes me happy and impressed. Hope you end up having a good experience teaching it.

It's part of a 2 yr program that the get state certified. Three of their morning classes are the beauty school stuff, 1 hour with me. Then they finish the day with a couple requirements for their hs diploma.

Well they have to pass the state board test. Just like anyone else in beauty school, but kids get it for free, because of the CTE grant.
