Not if Alex Kurtzman has anything to say about it.
odesit85
Maybe it will be good, maybe not, but there is way in hell I am paying money for another streaming service.
Nomad1591
Is it though?
trogmaniac
“[The show] was me responding to the world of Brexit and Trump [...]", P. Stewart . You know what to expect.
Ranik
No it's probably not. Because the people making star trek now don't even understand star trek.
AnticommunistGardeningTools
This :/
EveryUsernameIsTaken4
That really is sad.
TheCapedCommentator
This, unfortunately
Promethianfire
All these people complaining about how it's probably going to be "woke" have apparently never seen Star Trek.
AnticommunistGardeningTools
The only Star Trek show I haven't watched more than once is ST:D (it sucks) and I am quite concerned for ST: Picard.
Promethianfire
Not disputing that ST:D was disappointing, but that wasn't because it was "woke." ST has always been "woke" for its time.
SolarFlexus
FFS how boorishly cliché to add a dog, I like dogs but wtf, it's an attempt to layer more dynamics of drama sure but it's SHIT
SolarFlexus
In this situation, it works with John Wick or I am legend because it's the like 50%+ of the narrative
Promethianfire
It might be Patrick Stewart's influence. He'd never had a dog, recently adopted one, and is completely smitten with it.
SolarFlexus
I dunno, I think he would be pretty aware of cliché when it boops him on the nose
locknut8
I would like it to be amazing, but if starts getting all woke, then I will be properly disappointed.
Promethianfire
I know right? Unlike every fucking version of Star Trek that has ever existed.
locknut8
It looks like you are confusing proper morality with the BS PC identity politicizing shift show that wokeness is.
Promethianfire
It looks like you don't realize that Star Trek's morality was often considered BS PC politicizing by contemporaries.
locknut8
OH fsck. So in 30 years, wokeness is going to be the norm? How utterly depressing.
Shashingaling
whats wrong with being "woke"?
Promethianfire
People in the late 60s probably bemoaned the fact that Negroes were going all over television in 30 years.
