How I became a Pokémaster

To officially catch them all you need one from each evolutionary level

I have the unfortunate luck of being a Canadian living in Japan. While Pokémon GO was officially released in Canada a few days ago, in the land of Nippon it has been delayed, FOR WEEKS AND WE ARE ALL LOSING OUR FREAKING MINDS! So to get over this sadistic torture I've decided to share my full pokédex and my secret of how I caught them all.

Also because I'm a perfectionist this means one of everything

For video games I have always been one to play for completion. I'd be damned if I didn't get one of each form.

Right now I can't transfer a gene spliced Kyurem, so until I can, I will keep my extra Kyurem and Zekrom in a spare folder. Se la vie!

We end here because while some people have managed to get Volcanion through an event here in Japan I haven't yet, so I suppose I still haven't "caught them all", but honestly I have been so busy that I haven't turned on my game for almost a year, partly because our cats chewed through my only powercord. I'm sure I can trade a spare Mew or Meloetta for it when I get the chance and get a new power cord. But for now I know I have caught all I can without cheating or codes. I have literally maxed my time limit on so many games to get to this point. So much grinding, and to be honest I still have a lot more I want to do before I feel like a true master (all Pokémon at lvl 100, get more shiny, you know, basic stuff), but I'm proud of all I've done.

I should note my tactic to actually "catching them all" revolved around these Vivillons. I had a semi-rare region pattern and I played the Vivillon GTS page like my own personal stock market buying up shmucks who didn't realize the value of their Vivillon and paying higher prices for the exceptionally rare. Once in my possession i put them right back onto the GTS and demanded rarer and rarer Pokémon. I got all of them almost always within a day of waiting. Sometimes I got shiny Pokémon. Traded those for more rare ones. Then for event Pokémon. It was a perfect system. So that's it, that was how I got all the Pokémon I couldn't get myself of by trading up from my older games. I also hustled my now husband former boyfriend for many years to buy the opposite of whatever game I bought so I could steal his Pokémon. He was never in it to win it, and he enjoyed helping me become the very best, like no one ever was.

So that's it. That is how I caught them all. It was a life long goal that took me 20 years of life to achieve (I think I started playing at age 6...)

Cat Tax

This is Mikan みかん (tangerine) and Momo もも (peach) our adorable kittens. We found them a few months ago living at my school, and my students baseball team was looking after them. They lived in the dugout. They were weak and near death and covered in fleas when we took them in. Street cats are a real problem here in Okinawa, which is a big problem for us because it means we want to take in a dozen cats a month and have to fight the urge every time.
