As a Canadian. I refuse to apologize. We have nothing to apologize for.
Many are suffering from smoke inhalation, many are now homeless or displaced. We are losing endless amounts of our crown forests. Every firefighter is currently dispatched. Quebec even called in extra help from France. (Where's the Crowns help for the rest of the country??)
We shouldn't need to apologize for a tragedy, just because "you're ruining our skyline".

Nobody is asking for apologies. Multiple tragedies can be happening at once. Some more severe than others. But still life threatening all around. Please don’t minimize the risk a 400+ AQI poses to the people on the east coast of the US.

As someone who has tried to drive to the East Coast... The majority of Quebec doesn't speak enough English (or any for that matter) and need to stop laughing when we actually TRY to speak enough french to pay our gas. I speak decent french but my English tongue is obvious.

Multiple discord servers have turned toxic against me as a Canadian because we're ruining their air and sunsets. I've straight up signed off after my inbox got flooded with things ranging from people trying to sue the Canadian gvt for medical bills from the smoke, to people who want Canada invaded so the US can take over and put them out.
