My brother hand-crafted me this axe for my birthday. He black smithed the blade, carved out the markings and filled them with clear blue resin. And he did the handle too!

Pretty standard bearded axe style; could be a bit thicker neck, but if it's hardened properly, it should be stronger than it looks.
