Bob's Burger Recipe Book - Week 18 'Baby You Can Chive My Car'

This week a Feta Beef Burger topped with Chive and Sour Cream... with accompanying Fried Gherkin/Pickle wheels...

Ingredients:
Mince/Ground Beef
Feta
Chives
Sour Cream
Mustard
Egg
Self Raising Flour
Cajun Spice Mix
Gherkins/Pickles
Vegetable Oil

My Gherkins came pre-sliced... drain them and pay dry with paper towel. Dip in beaten egg and cover with flour/cajun spice/salt mixture.

Try to ensure full, even coverage.

Drop into hot oil in small batches, flipping until golden brown and remove with metal slotted spoon.

Place onto paper towel and let cool. I am over the moon with how they turned out (I've never deep fried at home) and my word are they tasty.

Combine Mustard, Sour Cream and Chives to make your thick Chivey Sauce.

Mix Beef with Feta and make your Burgers. Cook as normal.

Season, cook, flip, season, cook and done. These took a little longer due to the water content of the Feta.

Toast dem buns.

Build your Burger (from top to bottom):
Bun
Sauce (I put 2 tsp on, we ended up adding much more because it's delicious)
Burger
Bun

Then add your Gherkin/Pickle wheels to the side to make...

... this little beauty.

One of the best I've made and definitely the most fun I've had doing these posts. The Burger tastes really good and the sauce is so moreish (we didn't use it all but plan to use it with some Salmon tomorrow). The Gherkins, oh the Gherkins, I could eat a bowl of them. This is certainly a 10/10 for me.

Do you mean Gherkins like the specific brand of pickles or Gherkins like the British word for pickles in general?

Maybe add your favorite spices, Cajun, garlic, etc instead, and taste as you add until you are happy with it. I hate mustard too lol
