Don't use them. They produce the same sound as the in monitor one so I'm just going to save up for some good speakers that sound better.

This gentleman opted for a separate number pad. But mostly it's desk space and whether or not you want a number pad/ macro keys on yours.

They are easier to get around. Keys are smaller and closer together. Makes it easier to hit hotkeys that are further away.

Keys aren't smaller or closer together. Some keys are just missing and you have access to them with function keys and layers.
