Still pisses me off when I work at large sports events and I'm there for weeks sweating in hot summer days wearing massive steelies and high vis jackets only for the H&S inspector to turn up in a summer dress and open toe sandals. Just fuck off.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Call it out, tell them they’re not allowed on site until they wear the proper clothing/ppe

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I reported it to my unit manager but sadly they would then report it to the person in question. At every sporting event there are people who have spent months planning it who turn up and forget that it is real now and not just in their spreadsheets. Some are excellent, but Wimbledon is far too focused on dressing respectfully instead of safely.

Still wouldn't be allowed into my workplace because heels.

I demand safe bimbos

Bending at the waist like that to lift something?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bend at the knees said no one

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

She's not lifting anything.........you know what, you're right.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She's lifting at least 10 pounds with her chest…

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lift with your back, you get more days off.

I was looking for this.

2 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 1

Appearantly, even just *looking* at a book makes you smarter... Or more modest? Or something. I mean, I've read books based solely on their cover art. Kudos to good artists doing amazing cover art right? But isn't it annoying when the cover art feels like it's from a different story? What's up with that? I haven't gotten a new book in a while, I should do that. Re-read Going Postal from Terry Pratchett recently. Still love those. Mmmm. Now I want a new book.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now reverse it so

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Man, you ever read a book so amazing, it changes your eye color?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gross. Us gals can both show off our tits AND know the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. I also know misogyny is the powerhouse of the incel.

2 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

Tempted to get a job with reddit just to disable the third-party bot so these guys go home.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The more books you read ... the darker your hair gets!? Well, why TF is mine so gray then!?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You read too long. Like I did.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If books makes boobs and butts smaller on women... what do they do to men?

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Get them a smart woman to love them.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Reduce foot size.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wish I had the edit where it shows all five women being friends.

2 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

I think the original is some misogynist crap, her reading a book makes her smarter and therefore dressed more modestly.

2 years ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 5

Less "misogynist" and a literal reversal of "bookworm becomes dumb bimbo" fetishy transformation.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

If that's true then I like this version way better, but I feel it's important that the full string of modifications to become more and more OSHA compliant is an integral part

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Couldn't agree more, this version is much better. Safety first, then be whoever you like! Unless you're hurting people, which incidentally doesn't sound very safe tbh.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's what people assumed, but in reality it was a reverse-bimboification fetish thing.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Fetish artist usually does bimbo transformation, accepted a commission to do reverse bimbo transformation, and lots of people took it as a political statement.

2 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 0

I dunno, I still don't read this comic as empowering to women. I also don't see how it's political, is equality/feminism/misogyni a political issue when you get down to the core? Or is it about not being shitty? I understand it was a fetish artist and I understand it's a commission, but art can still be misogynistic and I don't feel that one excludes the others.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I wanna see the reverse

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

TIL lmao.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This person has the right of it. It was honestly kind of hilarious to anyone at the time who had full knowledge. One really interesting side-effect was people looking at the dichotomy presented by people thinking it was a political statement, and decided 'No, the nerdy girl and the bimbo girl aren't oppositional, they're actually girlfriends who sometimes wear each others clothes.'

2 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is it... is it bad I knew it was a fetish thing?

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Everything is a fetish thing if you're brave enough.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Imo, knowledge that makes people less judgmental is good.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No, it's knowledge that is being spread a lot, so it's fine. Plus it's better than making assumptions.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

work gloves would be an improvement

2 years ago | Likes 434 Dislikes 1

4” sleeve required

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

depends on what you're working on, if it's machinery with exposed spinning parts gloves are often against osha guidelines because they can pull your hand into the mechanism

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Work thigh highs. They should be a thing

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You wear them under your work pants, as a treat.

A heavy duty flash protection sports bra also.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Fuck FR bras I will die before I comply to my workplace policies (and possibly while not complying to my workplace policies)! They don't make them in my size and I refuse to pay $120+ of my own money for a piece of shit bra that doesn't even remotely fit me. Not like my boss is going to ask me for proof.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Wait......what? FR Bras? Colour me ignorant and uneducated, but please learn me? Are there....special welding bras or something?

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Idk about welding, but in oil and gas operations we're required to wear all FR outerwear and the undergarments have to either be FR or fully cotton or wool. They make FR bras but they all SUCK and cost way too much. Plus the sizing is typically XS-XL which does not translate well for those of us with big ol' tiddies and not big ol' ribcages (I'm a 32 or 34 FFF). And they don't make all cotton bras that can wrangle these balloon animals on my chest. So I say fuck it & wear my normal sports bras.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Ahh! Thank you! I was trying to figure out what FR meant, as I have never worked in an industry that required fire resistant equipment.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I appreciate the art in this paragraph.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They never make anything FR fit right. I had to wear a full coverage FR trench in prison orange at a mill in PA, they had 'loaners' which were disgusting but whatever. Thing was built to fit a telephone pole and nothing else. Got yelled at for not snapping the front. Where the hell you want me to store my tits, mate? If you can figure out how to get them off my chest I am ALL FOR IT, damn things are in the way. I wanna store them in a cool dry place and pull them out on date night.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Y'know what. I appreciate the perspective. I'm -not- gonna hate on my 12cal FR/AR shit ive gotta wear on the Hydrogen pad as hard as before this little kernel of knowledge popped up.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

She might be a lathe operator. Work gloves are situational.

2 years ago | Likes 104 Dislikes 0

I met a guy who got his pinky finger ripped off by a holehawg.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s why you use a halfhawg if you can.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I did and it nearly threw me off a ladder and sprained my wrist whilst doing so lol

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hell, the hard hat and vest are situational already.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This part would be especially important for machinists: "OSHA regulations require employers to ensure that workers cover and protect long hair to prevent it from getting caught in machine parts such as belts and chains."

As long as it's time weighted average is below 85 dba.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Unless you have single hearing protection. If it's above 100 dba, you need double hearing protection.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At that point you need to put in some engineering controls or isolate that thing.
