Hand forged from a roller bearing off of a crane. Handle is dyed maple burl and Caifornia Redwood burl.

Reclaimed saw blade. Handle is dyed burl and reclaimed bubinga spacer.

Antique handforged sawblade. The handle is cherry burl from a downed tree in an orchard.

This one is forged from antique sawblade. The handle is Maker's Mark whiskey barrel that I flame hardened. The spacer is a laminate that I made from the client's old apron from her first job in the kitchen.

Hand forged cleaver. Missouri Walnut and brass accents.

Hand forged breaking knife. The handle is African blackwood with synthetic liners. The bolsters are brass.

I am loving those burl handles. So jealous right now. I had to leave my entire forge behind years ago. Haven't hammered steel in years :(

Question: Can they go in the dishwasher cutlery basket, or are they top track only?

I made a cake once. It was a little bit burnt. But it was my creation.

I like knives, I like to cook, I'm quite jealous.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

As a ex-cook that got into it because I like working with my hands - I too am jelly.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

With these knives, I'd enjoy the meal half as much as the cooking itself.

I'm curious about the properties of the ball bearing steel? Mind if I PM you about it?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I sent it for metallurgical testing, came back as 52100 high carbon. very wonderful blade steel. hard to forge. pm away.
