Me watching everyone slowly become obsessed with Dexter over a year after I finish watching the entire series

The books are good, better ending. The show diverged quite a bit from the get go, so it will be a different experience.

sucked as soon as you know who (no spoilers!) wasn't in the show anymore.

I still to this day, have not seen the final 3 episodes of the OG series and I own the box set. Once I heard how bad the ending was, I didn't watch it. Years later with the revival, I haven't started it, because I dont want to acknowledge the other ending.

I absolutely hated the final season of the show. I enjoyed the revival (the first one), just got started on the second one.

John Lithgow's acting in this creeped me out the most. It took me awhile to see him again as his funny self in Third Rock from the Sun

I personally loved him in the show, and I loved how he was meant to portray their version of the Zodiac Killer. I especially loved the later seasons, but my favorite will always be the first, mainly because of Doakes, who was probably my favorite character.

I think he wasn't Zodiac so much as he was BTK (Dennis Rader), at least from what I've seen. Doakes was awesome, and I still think he got done dirty, even after 20 years. It was great to see Erik King again for Resurrection, even if it was only for one scene.

Me watching Dexter fans who haven't read the books. //i.imgur.com/z04IafF.jpeg

I think Dexter tv was much better than the books, can't think of another such case offhand.

I thought the books were rather subpar. I only read the first two and for the first time thought "okay, so the book isn't always better".

I am partially kidding. I've read through the entire series, so I know how cheesy it is. I just think that, if you're watching a show based on a book series, you should at least read the first book in that series.

Why is Dexter getting so much attention? The ending season suuucked almost (but not quite) as much as Game Of Thrones did.

Never seen GOT, but I can confirm the ending of Dexter sucked donkey balls

Learned my lesson with the Sopranos. Skip the last episode if not entirely the last season of a series and you'll enjoy it way more. Your imagination is almost always better unless people are very vocal about it being worth it

Because it has had multiple revival series in recent years, and with more seasons of it coming soon.
Which has driven many to go back and rewatch the original series.

New Blood was decent. Haven't seen the other ones.

Resurrection is a direct continuation of it taking place in NYC. My man Blessing is the GOAT. Not gonna say much else, since it's still in production, with season 2 beginning filming next month.

Unfortunately, Original Sin was canceled by Prime (shocker). Personally thought Christian Slater was miscast as a young Harry Morgan, but I was surpringly delighted by Christina Millan's performance as a fledgling Laguerta. It's still available to watch, and some scenes in Resurrection were lifted from it.

Oh, that freak, I remember him. That was a funny episode for me, IIBH. But I did get a bit overstimulated by the scene when Deborah was being chased by him in his weird labyrinth.

yeah they featured his labyrinth concoctions in back to back episodes. The one where he had just Dexter could have been just as capable of inducing seizures too. Especially with the sea of flashing mannequins in that one room..

I don't remember too much from that episode, but the part where Deborah is chased by him is forever engrained in my memory
