I put together a useful Groomsmen gift for our upcoming wedding on Saturday.

Aug 15, 2017 12:53 PM

I wanted to do something that the gents would use. Engraved camping hatchets, our wedding bowties and wedding socks.

Box made from pine fence pailings I had laying around.

Helko Werk hand forged traditional hatchets. We are all big on camping and thought that we would all get use out of these. Defend ourself from all the things that want to kill us here in Aust.

Plum...... to match the flowers apparently.

Box took about 1 hour, copper nails and a few bits of hardware.

Internal supports to hold the hatchets in place.

Nothing a few staples can't handle.

Overall happy with outcome. Guys should be stoked.

Mine got this and a 325 of their fav liquor: https://luckyshotusa.com/collections/shot-glasses/products/30mm-a-10-shell-shot-glass-in-black

That's cool, I was going to go down the liquor path but that is usually the normal birthday gift between us.

Don't worry mate, these badboys will be given the night before and won't come to the festivities. Don't need no Red Wedding shit going down.

What is this? A Dothraki wedding?

Was it the bowties that gave it away?

If it is I want an invite

I mean it hardly counts as a wedding if nobody brings the close combat weapons, right?

A wedding without at least 3 deaths is considered a dull affair

Exactly, this guy gets it.

Old Finnish wisdom states that the difference between Ostrobothnian wedding and funeral is that there's one more corpse at a funeral.
