The cats name is Mel, this good guy found her on the street in Rio de Janeiro. She has conjunctivitis.

Sooooo cute!

My old man would NOT put up with that. I had to give him antibiotics and there was no way he was sitting still for it.

Animals are smart. She knows he is helping her. Also she is a princess ????

My cat had an operation today because she had severe conjuctivitus and she also isnt afraid to get her eye drops

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Oh man I messed it up.. conjunctivitis*

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

protip: if you ever have to do this with cat/dog.whatever, use the lateral (outside) corners of the eye to put the drop in. It causes much -

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

- less discomfort -> less struggle, and also they dont see the drop coming in. Plus it coats the conjuctiva better.

Mine will hold still for treatment, but says "no! noooo! nonono!" the whole time.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

HAHAHAHA I know this sound

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He is doing that very well though. No hesitation, just a firm grip.

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Just like their own mothers when a kitten doesn't want to be groomed and cleaned.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That 'come here you little shit' grab and hold mothers do to kittens is adorable.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Omg my ovaries just exploded

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That is the chillest cat i have ever seen.

7 years ago | Likes 715 Dislikes 0

My cat used to be like that. She would spend hours of the day just watching you, couldn't be spooked by nothing. Miss her.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My cat just sat there quietly while I clipped her claws. She just watched me do it and patiently waited for it to be done.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My cat acted the same as this when she tried to catch a bee for the first time and it stung her lip, and I had to pull the stinger out.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, ESPECIALLY for being a stray.

7 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Ginger cats are usually chill

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want 70 of them.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

a lot of cats get weird with drops and meds bc the owners don't know how to give it to them quickly. Some cats are genuine dicks, but 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

many are given a lot of time to get annoyed with the process. In vet clinics you git gud at giving kitty meds VERY fast and easy. 2/2

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Even I flinched when he was putting in the eyedrops. I hate that shit.

7 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

that's why I dont drip them directly onto my eyeball, I stick it in the corner of my eye and let it gently touch my eye

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

you are hereby weaker than a cat! You may now be officially adopted as a pet. Congrats.

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Man that's trust right there.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My lil lady was very sick at one stage, could not get her to take her medication. She was starting to waste away and I snapped. I pleaded

7 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

Have to get one of mine with an inhaler twice a day. First few days he hated it, then he realized he was breathing better after

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

From then on, he let's me put that cup over his face with no issues. Unless the other cats are there... needs to keep the street creds

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

with her to take the medication, was crying at the table. She came up and sat there, opened her mouth and tooked the medication.

7 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 1

I have never been so grateful, she is much healthier now but still requires some meds.

7 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

Yeah sometimes you can make them understand that we are trying to help, it's easier with dogs I think, but sometimes cats get it.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Wildlife understands, sometimes. It's a pretty amazing thing.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ginger cats are the fucking best.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I heard somewhere that orange tabbys have a more gentle and chill personality than others

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

my roommate had a gigantic orange tabby that loved to sit himself down on girl's chests. that cat felt up more girls than Wooderson.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine loves everybody. Whenever he meets someone new or people come over he'll lick your arm or hair until you pet him.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very true. I had my boy stitch for 9 years. He never scratched or bit me like my Grey and white shit cat did. He was the sweetest boy.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I think for every shade of cat there are a thousand different characters :D

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

My friend has an orange tabby. Little shit attacks you for no reason. No chill.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Might still be very young? I have an orange tabby but he was a shithead until he was about four, lol, attacking, etc.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Orange Tabby's are the best. I miss my Tigger so much.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had an orange tabby he was 30 pounds and he liked to tackle dogs

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Are you sure it wasn't a tiger

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

No though did teach him to stop sneaking outside by picking him up and throwing him into a pile of snow he had enough of outside after that

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

absolute fact. my grandma had an orange tabby; theyre absolutely perfect elder companions

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've always had gingers and can confirm it's true.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Had a cat named Timmy, many many years ago. Had to make him a purrito everytime he needed drops, anti tick and fleas stuff.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He was the best! He really liked me and trusted me, he knew I was helping him. He was just scared!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think I’m in love.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Where is her treats!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not having conjunctivitis...is the treat.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cat doesn't understand that definitely being punished

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my wife used to have a cat. they'd go on 5 hour road trips. when the cat wanted to toilet it would "miaow". my would stop by the side 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 448 Dislikes 0

that sounds like our rag doll cat! Road trips, baths, grooming, nail clipping, going to strange houses, moving...nothing EVER upsets her

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

of the highway and open the door. Cat (Pushka) would get out, walk a few metres, pee and then come back to the car. 2/2

7 years ago | Likes 391 Dislikes 1

My grandpa had a cat just like this named Tonto. He was a big fat gray tabby who died of cancer. The cat was practically human. So odd.

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I don't know how to feel about this.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that's so cute!

7 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

That's a dog ... that says meiow

7 years ago | Likes 245 Dislikes 1

Hell my dog would chase any critters on the side of streets and never come back.

7 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Sounds like my lil chihuahua lol I had a pit bull that didn't need a leash but the little one is a different story.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 0

It does NOT go down like this in our house.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She is a princess!

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

We were prepared to wrap my grumpy cat in a towel and force him to take his antibiotics. He loved them! Meowed at us when the course was ovr

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My cat wouldn't scratch me, but she might complain loudly and try to get away. She'll only bite/scratch if she's in really bad pain or -

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

(2) very scared/frightened by something.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It helps that he kept talking in a very calming voice

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's cause it's a kitten, you have a cat.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same. Then mine would have stopped at her bowl and have bitched at me about it being half empty too.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

are they rescues from the street? that kitten knows it feels better after he does that so they don't fuss

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wrap in a cloth and stick em in a boot. Works for mean kitties!

7 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 0

They aren't mean. they are super lovey they just hate it when i do stuff like that. The big man gets bad eye bogies so i clean them often

7 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

So wrap them up and stick them in a boot

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My cat had eye troubles as a baby. The gel I had to put in must've felt good because she just sat there with no fight.

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

My kitty had an eye infection and they gave her mess but after I used to get a damp warm cloth and clean her eyes and she loved it

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meds*

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was probably a huge relief. Of course, my kitty sat patiently for a kitty shave and ultrasound too so she may have been just been amiable

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, she's a real big panicker cause she was a dumpster kitty, so it must have felt good.
