The realities of trying to stay relevant as a female actor in Hollywood. She now joins the ranks of Meg Ryan, Jennifer Grey and Renee Zellweger. Good luck
Maybe she's dealing with dysmorphia, maybe she's happier this way, maybe there are other circumstances she's dealing with. Either way, this shame bandwagon feels kinda gross.
Ive always wondered if women like her have daughters and they end up looking just like her do they think that they are unattractive/something wrong with their face because their mother had so much surgery to not look like what they see in the mirror
I wasn't sure either, but no, her Instagram account (where I believe is where the top-right image comes from!) confirms this is actually her, outside of any work-related stuff. Mind you, this is perhaps the worst-looking of her uploaded pics, but sadly, it IS her.
I'll paraphrase what I said the last time this comparison came up: While you are allowed to find someone more or less attractive, who are you to mock it when someone decides that's what they want to look like? Read what I said above, and realize that I'm not just talking about plastic surgery for movie stars, I'm also talking about trans people, or folks with genetic issues, folks with confidence issues or for the just plain ugly. How is this different than, say, tattoos?
Especially when she and other actors like her are likely dealing with body dysmorphia and industry pressure. Mocking someone for their struggles is a special kind of fucked up.
So sad that she either looked in the mirror and thought she needed to do this, or was forced into doing it due to Hollywood being Hollywood. She was already stunning
Even more ironic/depressing is that one of the notable aspects of the character she's known for was that she didn't like the 'sex sells' approach to her public image that the company was trying to push her towards.

Downvoting an honest question when someone is open to discussion is a shame. You have my upvote.

I have been wondering if this was some kind of rhinoplasty or something like that, gone terribly wrong.

I remember her in Jessica Jones, she was cute in a soft way, and in the Boys she was straight up stunning.
What a shame.
