9. Never Let Me Go (2010)

Oh man. This movie has you feeling within the first half hour. Or maybe that's just me being a sap.

Three children grow up at a boarding school in England, and while the love-triangle that developes between them may seem cliché, I assure you it is anything but. Plot twists ahoy!

Cast includes Andrew Garfield, Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan.

@CalamariSeafood provided a link for the full movie! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfUABH_Cg1w

8. Willard (2003)

Watching this as an 8 year old was, in hindsight, a bad idea. While not scary in a horror-movie kinda way, it will creep you the fuck out.

Willard, a young man living with his mom and working a desk job, discovers he has an unusual connection with rats. He uses this connection to extract revenge on whoever he pleases... among other things.

Crispin Glover plays the main character.

7. Bicentennial Man (1999)

No list is complete without Robin.

In this movie he plays a robotic A.I. Servant, who gradually becomes human. His longer-than-ordinary lifespan takes him through several peoples lives, while the ethics of wether he is truly human are questioned.

Starring: Robin Williams, Embeth Davidtz and Sam Neill.

6. Moon (2009)

I'm a sucker for unsettling sci-fi. And I'm not talking the kind of slasher-horror of Event Horizon. "Moon" expertly portrays the main characters isolation and deterioration.

In a futuristic world where power harvested from the moon has saved our planet, Sam Bell works alone on the Lunar base, only accompanied by the computer GERTY. Towards the end of his three year shift, things change drastically after a personal encounter on Sams behalf.
This movie also has the most enticing soundtrack. It helped me get through my exams!

Main cast is Sam Rockwell and Kevin Spacey

It is on norwegian Netflix, but here is a link anyway: http://putlocker.is/watch-moon-online-free-putlocker.html

5. Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003)

In my opinion one of Dreamworks best films. Of all time. It's a swashbuckling animated adventure on sea, what's not to like? Sadly, it belly flopped, and except for an interactive minisode, it never got a sequel.

Blamed for the disappearance of the Book of Peace, Sinbad must travel from Syracuse to the edge of the world to retrieve it from Eris, Godess of Chaos.

Honestly if you haven't seen this yet, you are missing out. The animation is beautiful, the soundtrack has that heroic adventurous feel, and the script is amazing.

With the voice-acting talents of: Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michelle Pfeiffer and Joseph Fiennes.

Also on Netflix, but here's a link: http://megashare.sc/watch-sinbad-legend-of-the-seven-seas-online-TVRBNE5BPT0

4. Third Star (2010)

Ohh maaaan this movie. This fucking movie. Its raw and real and just beautiful. It will leave you teary-eyed but also with that "Welp, time to live my life"-feeling. It is tragic and optimistic all at once, and I can't praise it enough.

James, a young man diagnosed with terminal cancer, celebrates his (probably last) birthday by going on a trip with his closest friends. The destination is Barafundle Bay, and the trip takes the four men through stunning coastal landscape, as well as an emotional journey. As James deals with his impending death, he urges his friends to make the best of the time they have.

Main cast: Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Burke, JJ Feild and Adam Robertson.

This was the best link I could find: http://filenuke.com/m4fejnwwjswb

3. Sunshine (2007)

Another unsettling sci-fi, but this time the destination is the sun. That's right, they're gonna fly into the fucking sun, and if you don't think that's the tightest shit then get out of my face, son.

Our star is dying, and it is up to a team of scientists, physicists, astronauts and whathaveyounots to kick its butt back into shape. They'll go about this with a nuclear bomb, which mass is equal to that of Manhattan. Close to their delivery point however, they receive a distress-signal from the ship of the previously attempted mission, Icarus 1. Two bombs is better than one, but is the detour worth the risk?

Starring are Chillian Murphy, Michelle Yeoh, Chris Evans, Hiroyuki Sanada, Troy Garity, Benedict Wong and Rose Byrne.

It is on Netflix, but here's a link: http://putlocker.is/watch-sunshine-online-free-putlocker.html

2. Treasure Planet (2002)

Another childhood favourite! I personally love this movie to bits, but sadly, the movie-going audience back in '02 didn't. Premiering the same week as Harry Potter 2, this picture failed at bringing in the cash money needed for a sequel.
But don't let that discourage you from watching it! It is SO COOL.

It's basically Treasure Island retold... IN SPACE. Young Jim Hawkins has regular run-ins with the long arm of the law, so when a mysterious stranger dies in his mother's inn, leaving only a treasure-map, Jim sees it as his way out. He embarks on a journey on the ship RLS Legacy, destination Treasure Planet, and meets the cyborg Long John Silver.

Voiceactors: Joseph Gordon Levitt, Emma Thompson, Roscoe Lee Browne and Brian Murrey.

1. Contact (1997)

Without question my favourite movie. To be honest I don't even know how to begin describing it. For me it was a huge inspiration as I too want to be an astronomer one day, and seeing a woman in the lead honestly brought tears to my eyes. Based on the book of the same name by the one and only Carl Sagan.

Dr. Ellie Arroway, an astronomer working on S.E.T.I. (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) is one of the few people still putting her faith in listening for signs of life in outer space. Finally, her team receives a signal from the star Vega, and humanity takes its first step into a new age where, allegedly, aliens exist. Traces of Sagan's poetic take on astronomy are everywhere, and we see him clearly mirrored in the optimistic Dr. Arroway.
Sagan was meant to have a cameo in the film, but died before the scene was shot.

Starring are Jodie Foster, Matthew McConaughey, John Hurt and William Fichtner.

On Netflix, link anyways: http://megashare.sc/watch-contact-online-TkRnNU1BPT0

Just watched Contact today again after maybe 15 years

Bicentennial man.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sunshine should have been named Daylight Saving Time. (obligatory XKCD)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh my God, Contact, it's the only movie that makes me cry every time. It's just...gorgeous, gorgeous movie

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

No no no, do NOT watch Never Let Me Go, you will NEVER recover! Fuck that movie. Fuck it, and fuck Event Horizon. Scarred for life.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

:)))) I know how you feel :))))))))

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like this a lot. It's really nice to see something different than "underrated movies that are actually overrated."

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

Contact is a really awesome novel! I'll definitely check the movie out, if you haven't, I recommend reading the book too :)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Can't agree more about Sinbad. It has a ton of anachronisms, but it's really good anyway. And CZJ's Eris is a sultry delight.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wasn't bicentennial man widely considered one of the worst movies in the last 20 years?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Can't imagine why. What's supposedly wrong with it?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IT is a GREAT movie. You must be getting it mixed with something else :o

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I completely agree, bicentennial man was absolutely touching.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's got a 37% on Rotten Tomatoes, I remember it being terrible....but I saw it in theaters in 1999.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sinbad is definitely a fun movie and way underrated along Treasure Planet

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Third Star. That movie really stuck with me. The ending is one of the most heart wrenching moments ever.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Oh yessss. The fucking ending. And you don't really see it coming, either.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

#3: It's daylight savings time.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Contact the book blows Contact the movie out of the water

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Sinbad made me laugh myself into tears. Personal favorite of DreamWorks. "Put a shirt on before you poke an eye out!"

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Best. Line. Ever.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Whoah... give that guy a raise!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Read Never Let Me Go for Lit in high school and loved it. Way better than the movie. Movie felt empty.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Going to have to read it now, I just watched and the movie does feel like it's missing something!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it just didnt like any actors except garfield.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aaaaaahhhh I can't believe I forgot to add Anastasia :( For those of you who see this comment: Watch Anastasia pls.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

I have never seen Anastasia, but everyone i speak to says its incredible.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's such an amazing movie! The soundtrack is incredible as well.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The storytelling is really good aswell

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh my freakin glob...you have a superb taste in SciFi and animation. I'd love to watch movies with you, friend.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Ayyyyyyy thanks! That'd be awesome but I doubt you're anywhere near Norway? :/

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

YOU ARE LAND & SEAS AWAY but would I swim across the Atlantic, drink an ale in London for a pitstop, then hike cross the Scandinavian mtns 1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

To watch some of these with you and everyone else who dare to dream of such a good movie list? .. I think so! Right after I bulk up though 2

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

#1 Carey Mulligan is the definition of cute.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah but her acting is only believable if you think that. Otherwise it is too wispy and hollow.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm glad you think so, Hitler!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Moon = Sam Rockwell's finest, well besides Galaxy Quest.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Oh. Oooh! That's not right...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"I'm just crewman number 6, I'm not even suppose to be here!"

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I DON'T EVEN HAVE A LAST NAME!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Looked at Third Star on Rotten Tomatoes, 44% critic/85% audience rating. Pretty huge gap there and it makes me interested.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

You should watch it and find out yourself :D Don't know what Rotten Tomatoes is up to, but I loved it to bits. Definitely worth a watch.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That movie fucked me up.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"Chillian Murphy"

10 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

He's always a little more relaxed than Cillian

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Bicentennial Man - so under rated. Good list

10 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 6

Can't believe it came out that long ago. Such a touching ending

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I always thougt so too. Robin was great in it!

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

And the music... RIP James Horner :c

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I sobbed like a baby at the end and haven't been able to bring myself to watch it again...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I loved that movie, ive watched like 5 times atleast

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Just watched this movie for the first time because of this list. Wow, that was a great movie.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love that movie so much, but it made me cry so much.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And here I was just about to comment how terrible that movie was....but I was probably like 13 when I saw the film.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it's only a bad movie when compared to the books, it's a pretty good movie in it's own right.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

never let me go is a great book too!

10 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 2

I had to study it in school for half a year so it did the opposite of grow on me. Also story is real depressing when you look at depth.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So is Contact

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I HATE to be that guy. But I thought the book was better than the movie

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

they did do a great job with the movie

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I agreed. read the book though then watch the movie, it doesn't ruin it but the differences are worth noting.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Im downloading the movie now!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oddly enough I hated the book. Though I watched the movie first so maybe that ruined it for me. Just wasn't a fan of the writing style.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

You're not alone. I didn't like it either.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Yep. Didn't care for the writing style either.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I started reading it cause I'm from Hailsham :D

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some of these are weird as fuck. Trust me.

10 years ago | Likes 97 Dislikes 5

thrust you?, like with my penis?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm so glad sunshine was on this list, it's so fucked up

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 3

Dude when they find pinbacker, I was like shit man. That was weird as hell.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I can never trust you. Not after last time.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Lol how the fuck will a nuclear warhead do anything for the sun. No matter how large. Better watch it and rage :)

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

movie didnt have the phrase "its daylight savings time" -1

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

hahahahahahahahahahaha God that would have been good.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also: "Captain, we're picking up a distress-signal from Icarus 1!" "lol no, proceed with saving the solar system" ROLL CREDITS

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

For me the fascinating thing was "we have that group of the 2nd best scientist ever, yet human error and faults fuck up everything"

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You missed the bit about it weighting as much as Manhattan. That is going to be a /big/ ass boom.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Still going to watch it though :)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really, it's want pretty bad Imo

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

also the movie didnt have the phrase "its daylight savings time"

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Don't know why you were downvoted, that comment was... the bomb B)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And then nothing really. A sun dies when it runs out of fuel and it is powered by fusion not fission. We need lots of hydrogen to top it up

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Sometimes a silly plan is better than no plan.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So what? It's a movie, a little suspension of disbelieve is neccessary to enjoy most of them. As long as it is coherent within its own rules

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Moon is probably the most original movie I have seen in the last 10 years.

10 years ago | Likes 315 Dislikes 11

Has anyone here who has seen Moon seen Love? The Angels & Airwaves movie?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Moon is a stupendous film, but it's about as far from original as you can get.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

The guy who made it is making the World of Warcraft movie. I'm wicked hyped.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

And depressing as fuck.

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Yep. It was a good movie but I never, ever want to see it again because the depression (and type of depression) of it is too much for me.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Also directed by David Bowie's son. :D

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Moon was pretty fricking awesome, but I love Sam Rockwell in pretty much anything.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i discovered MOON quite by accident when i had flu watching Netflix - it is brilliant! I recommend it to anyone. Great plot!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can't wait for the sequel, Moon Moon

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That was the one that caught my eye right away

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As someone who grew up on Star Trek and other Sci-Fi TV&Movies, this comment is infuriating. Moon is a very cliche sci-fi plot.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 8

and Sam Rockwell is fucking awesome

10 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

Sam Rockwell not getting an award for this movie is a disgrace! He was so good in it!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"IS THERE AIR? You don't know!" I fucking loved him in Galaxy Quest

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Not to mention Kevin Spacey, who was so good that nobody knew it was Kevin Spacey!

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

My favourite actor, hands down

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Whenever I need to feign confidence I think of him as Zaphod. Really works.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He's the best

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Honestly thought I was the only person that liked Contact

10 years ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 8

*raises hand excitedly* Me! Me! I've always loved it, ever since I read the book when I was 10 (sci fi family^.^)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Believe me, there are dozens of us! Dozens!

10 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

Me too! I hate recommending movies like that to people and then they call it boring and slow.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

"Waited to see that entire movie to see that alien, and it was her goddamn father!" -Mr. Garrison

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

hahahahahha I love Mr Garrison.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the beach scene might've been cheesy and frustrating, but the build-up and everything is great

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's one of my favorites of all time (if not my top favorite) and I am honestly surprised that people think it's unpopular.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I saw it as a kid and loved it! Still do!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don't care what all the haters say; I loved that movie.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First time I saw it I thought, yeah, ok. Now I must be on the 30th watch and it's among the greatest films in the genre.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I love that movie! Every time I'm having difficulty with my engineering classes, I'll watch it and remind myself why I'm in engineering.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

LOVE IT

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One of US! One of US!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Contact makes me cry every time I watch it. I'm so happy it's on your list. ;___;

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's one of my favorite Lightbulb Jokes. "How many Carl Sagans does it take to change a lightbulb?"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

....billions and billions?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly^.^

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's always near the top of my all-time favorites list. You're not alone :D ... although it feels like it sometimes, for sure.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Seems like an awful waste of space if we are, infact, alone.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hurrah for sci-fi nerds! Contact is awesome. Physics club at my university watched it right before a trip out to the VLA, which was amazing

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

I am incredibly jealous you got to go out to the VLA!!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They went to the VLA??? Lucky sods.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Its an awesome place, just kinda out in the middle of nowhere (by design). I can throw up an album of the photos I took there if you'd like.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

PLEASE DO!!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Seconded, @Montressor !

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You are not alone. I've read the book twice. It's better, but the movie is good.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

I love the book! It's basicly a modern version of Plato's allegory of the cave. I also liked the movie, but book is always a book.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I read "Plato's allegory of the rave" and was really confused for a sec.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

THAT would actually be interesting :D

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

woah woah what? there's a book? *returns LIS degree*

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You read Sagan's other books? I have them all and cried like a baby toward the end of Billions and Billions.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes! I'm a huge Sagan fan.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

nice, did you know they're making a movie out of the stand?

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I'll believe it when I see it. I hope they go through with it this time.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I loved The Stand but I didnt like the ending.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Me either. "And then, after all this shit happened, God finally decides to literally get hands on."

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hopefully it won't be 50 hours long.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yeah, I think they're making four movies. So it'll be pretty long

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There already is a movie, it's like twelve hours long. Actually not that bad.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Stephen King book, the Stand? I think it is made of lead, cause not even Superman can see the end of that 1300 page monstrosity.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Haha, yeah

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Did you never see the mini series??

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I vaguely recall Molly Ringwald?? Is that right? I cannot remember the actual show...

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Indeed. Molly Ringwald, Gary Sinise, Rob Lowe, Ruby Dee, Ossie Davis, Matt Frewer, Jamey Sheridan, and my personal favorite, Ray Walston.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My username is relevant!!! Can't wait for the movie

10 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

I didn't know they were making one! AWESOME! The first real book I ever read was The Eyes of the Dragon in 3rd grade - hooked on RF since

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's in the Dark Tower series as well.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I started reading that around when Wizard and Glass came out. I bought the Gunslinger not really knowing about the series, was obsessed

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never read novels until I picked up Gunslinger in high school. Liked it, read more King books, then branched to other authors.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

SINBAD!!! One of my favorite animated movies- seriously gorgeous animation and a moving story. Like OP said, WATCH IT

10 years ago | Likes 383 Dislikes 4

very likely that I will watch it now, especially since it's on netflix

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Where, how? I've been looking for it for ages!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously great movie, I never tire of watching it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

very likely that I will watch it now, especially since it's on netflix

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it's not on Canadian or American netflix D:

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love how Eris was animated, that kind of stuff would never ever work in a live action adaption. Plus, she almost managed a Xanatos Gambit.

10 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

TVT FOREVER!! (because I can't stop reading it...oh gawd please hel--

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Always strange when I see a fellow TV Troper pop up somewhere with something referencing TV Tropes, and people still somehow understand it.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Who's bad?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SINbad. Ugh, men.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry, this was a month ago, but that "Ugn, men" deserves a commendation (I read it in the voice of that girl)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Paper ninja, eh? Cool username.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

are you still squids or are you kids now?

Thank you! You're not to shabby yourself, paper squids

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you! Did we just become best friends?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We may have! After all, us "Paper" usernames must stick together! We should stay attentive for clearer signs of best friend-dom...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did someone say 'squids'!?

BUT is it better than El Dorado?! No. Still good but El Dorado is definitely the best Dreamworks movie >:0

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

the fact that the natives spoke with a British accent makes me dislike it even though it was pretty good

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Maybe not, and El Dorado is amazing, but I think Sinbad is definitely a prettier movie

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

For real though.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I LOVE El Dorado, but Prince of Egypt deserves big mention.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

AH yes El Dorado, Prince of Egypt, Anastasia, Sinbad... not sure what else I'm missing from non-disney

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm an atheist, but that was one gorgeous, well made, well acted movie!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Atheist here, too; Prince of Egypt is the finest telling of any biblical story, full stop.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Exactly! I have no problem with Bible-as-literature, especially when so well-told^.^

She was hot too

So hot!

I, too, love the movie yet it's Disney's biggest financial loss. It took 10 years to make, spent $180 million and grossed $101 million.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is my favourite childhood movie. Im a 17yr old guy and I still regularly watcher it and Spirit.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Spirit. Oh man, I need to revisit that :)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I loved the movie but even when I was younger the whole boats in space thing bothered me.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

AH but you see, they aren't actually IN SPACE, they're in something called the Etherium, which is basically space with air :D

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

if you like Treaure Planet, may I suggest Titan A.E.?

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Still got it on vhs

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love it when I see that movie mentioned. Never got the love it deserved.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It didn't really have a target demographic and it was marketed poorly. I suspect it would've been more successful in the CURRENT market.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's on Netflix! Watched it last weekend.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Hell yeah me too

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One of the most underrated movies of all time. The Cook/Captain is my favorite.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think it is one of the most underrated Disney movies. The animation is good, the plot is nice, the characters are very cool. And, Morph!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Once I saw treasure planet I knew your list was trust worthy.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That and Atlantis. I love the good action/adventure they had

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I wanted to include Atlantis too, but figured it was pretty well-known. But definitely a favourite of mine!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The sword in the stone, Atlantis, Brother Bear, and the road to el dorado are all really good movies as well.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And emperors new groove. I feel like that movie and El Dorado are linked somehow. Not sure why

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0
