Jet boats can do shit like that if you man controls correctly, but thats a hella ton of moneys if you don't do it right

5 years ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 3

Boats like Rogue Jet's and Boice Jet's are built to take a pounding with little to no issues. They're expensive, but worth it...

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep, lots of jet boats have Teflon bottoms so it can go on rivers. My uncle has one and beaching yourself on a sandbar doesn't hurt it.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Looks like the jet drive is screwed up after the landing. Kicking up quite the rooster tail that it wasn't beforehand

5 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

Berkeley jets have trim adjustment, turn it up to make a rooster tail and impress the girls, turn it down to go faster..

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

That’s what was thinking what happened.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bondulance?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe he pulled in the outboard just before getting air, and the rooster tail is from the angle of the engine (still a bit up)? Dunno

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Jet drive=high power water pump, shallow intake and propulsion exits. More or less made for this. Well, sandbars anyhow.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never heard of an outboard waterjet before. Thats a thing? Just googled and yupp it is. You learn something new every day

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This dude must have an inboard motor. Otherwise that wouldn't work

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Inboard or Jet. Based on the wake, I'm guessing Jet.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

It's a jet boat. Inboard motors still have drive legs that come way down, same as outboards

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not way down, very shallow and most drives have a shock absorber system that can take some punishment. At least from a show I've seen.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've owned several of both, inboard drives come down below the hull the same as outboard ones. The hydraulics absorb a small amount

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

OK. The show I watched was made for Alaska jet boats. A reality show about gold mining or living off the grid. Pretty specialized, I guess.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I've definitely bungled an inboard on the rocks.
