The real story behind the making of Stonehenge.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's... yeah, i'm out!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What will they come up with next

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I could watch this for hours

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

And this is sped up. You probably would be watching it for hours.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, you can, but the bridge must be enormous because even after a few hours watching it they've still not finished.

How does one learn to drive the walkey building train thingy

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

there's 2 buttons

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With a walkey building train thingy simulator

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It looks like it's probably got several drivers, and some spotters on the ground to help because the driver's going to have almost no 1/

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

visibility no matter where he's sitting, unless the cab is tucked in by the front wheel assembly.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So THAT'S how they do it!

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

this is how rich countries do it like the swiss, not how it’s done everywhere

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed, I always wandered, thought they must use a crane. Now I know. Although it looks terrifying!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ya but how did they do it like 100 years ago?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Slaves

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is this the thunderbirds?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which leaves us wondering, of course, how they built the towers.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That totally looks like the bridge and tunnel below Fort Zancudo in GTAV

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They built a bridge near me like this, when I realised they were making the concrete pieces for this contraption i got so excited!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thunderbirds are go

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whats the smoke from the guy on the ground all about right before it ends?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I notices the same thing. I'm thinking water hose.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Imagine the ass-pucker involved on the very first day they rolled this thing out and tested it after designing & building it

8 years ago | Likes 245 Dislikes 1

First 3s probably https://youtu.be/XdvqcZNzD5k

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Those guys standing on the pylons make my ass pucker.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You could have just pinched down on a steel cable between them puckered cheeks to just hold the front end down.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

I’m sure the first tests were done only a couple feet off the ground

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Undoubtedly, but there's always that first time 100' off the ground...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

All except the one stoner engineer who thought it up in the first place. Just roasting one in the corner like "told ya so"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So, you probably can't walk into your local hardware store to buy one of these then?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Looks like China, so I imagine at least three people were killed during the construction.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Mission Failed. All you had to do was follow the fuckin’ train CJ!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Got a real Thunderbirds feel to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuRkAyRfz_c

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was about to say, Brink of Disaster anyone!?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The engineering that went into that thing must be insane. No way in hell I'd want to be on it at the time it was doing its thing though.

8 years ago | Likes 628 Dislikes 2

...or under it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you think this is impressive, then take a look at tunnel boring machines. They are on another level.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Some dude made one from Legos: https://youtu.be/Ny-ighFGg98

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ok, that's insane. I wonder how many of the main beam parts are battery packs.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Anyone knows if they built it specifically for this bridge? Or is it a standard overpass with different support depending on the terrain?

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Depends on the terrain and location, in a city they would simply use some cranes, cases like this you use this guy. Wasn't designed for 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

2/2 this this perticular bridge, but for hard to reach areas like this

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Big Ol Cantilevered Beam the most structuryest structure

8 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 0

Can't write "clever" without "cantilever"...or of course you could but it would be right and way less confusing
