Got thirsty reading your username...

As someone who spends all day at near 0% humidity... This, this so very much...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Drink water everyone, but don't overdo it! Drinking TOO MUCH water can be harmful as well

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably another reason to cut down on the alcohol. Maybe tomorrow

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Stopped reading as soon as I saw the word "toxins"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm sick and fat because I'm a lazy greedy fat cunt, not because I don't drink enough water.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

So... If I stop drinking water I will gain weight finally? Thanks @op ! You are a life saver

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Toxins? In my fat cells? It's more likely than you think.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jokes aside, GTFO with this toxin bullshit. About the only valid statement on this poster is that dehydration makes you constipated.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

TTRRUUUEE

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am kinda fat. I don't even drink 1 liter some days. Should think about drinking

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

3-5L depending on how big you are. You're going to piss like a racehorse at first but it settles down.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I Don't understand how people how know about this shit still drink fizzy drinks, soda >:)

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

Because they're delicious?

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Next on Dr. Oz: How this magical vitamin supplement can help you beat cancer

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 18

This isn't selling a miracle cure or anything fucking crazy. They're just straight-forward facts about hydration. Fuck.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

But I have heard that they (the gouvernment) put DihydrateMonoxide on organic life! This is only gouvernment propaganda! (/s)

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Water? Never touch the stuff. Fish fuck in it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*Immediately drinks water*

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So glad I replaced soda with seltzer and mineral water. I drink 2 gallons a day now

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup, that's what's making me fat...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Fluid. Doesn't have to be water.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well, you're going to want some water in it, but it doesn't have to be pure water.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As fluids usually do. At least the kind humans drink ;)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

unless you live in a very warm and dry area just drink when you feel thirsty. Don't expect to loss any weight by drinking water unless you

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 6

are replacing your daily gallon of mountain dew with water.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Thirst and hunger can feel very similar at times. Lots of people end up snacking instead of drinking water.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Unless those people are astronauts then that shouldn't be that big of a problem in terms of dehydration

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh Huffington post is now a reputable source? great. I guess fuck those medical journals.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

The medical journals telling us not to stay hydrated?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

None of them say 8 glasses per day, not even close

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Turns toxins into fat? That's... that's not how stuff works. At all.

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Your body has an incredible sensor for dehydration, it's called "thirst" and if you drink when you're thirsty, you'll be fine

9 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 13

Problem is people misinterpret thirst for hunger and then eat instead of drinking

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Nah

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Same here... I don't get thirsty until I get a serious headache and blurry vision.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

People spend all day drinking things to "quench their thirst" that actually dehydrate them further, like juice/coffee/tea. Make a point to>

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

drink over a litre of water every single day. Most people barely have any actual water at all(outside of food, I mean)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The amount of water you lose due caffiene causing reabsorption of sodium, and therefore water, is minuscule compared to water content of tea

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

However, the inhibition of ADH caused by alcohol does further dehydrate you, depends on the alcohol content though

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...all of those things hydrate you, just not as much as pure water

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wish my body worked like it's suppose to. D: I never get thirsty unless I'm legit about to pass out or something.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Same here, I thought I was the only one.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I legit do not feel "thirsty" until I get a headache. Usually I drink when I want something that tastes good but I'm not hungry.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Good advice but "eliminates toxins" is pseudoscience nonsense. You don't gain weight because of "toxins".

9 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 4

I like you. (username relevant)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And the 8 glasses per day is bullshit. Just drink when you're thirsty.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

It's not bullshit, but the original author also said that those 8 cups/64 fluid ounces can come from water in food you eat, not plain water

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I facepalmed when one of the sources was www.wholebodycleansing.net Gotta vet your sources!

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

The whole sources section made me cringe. There is no website on that list that I trust without verifying with some peer-reviewed articles.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did you know that if you align your chakras just right, absolutely nothing will happen?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

My #1 reason you should stay hydrated. Kidney stones. I had them surgically removed this year. I would not wish them upon my worst enemy.

9 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

My cousin just went through this. His were really bad. He was in the hospital for several days.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not great. I was in hospital a few days, discharged, then back in again, then surgery a few weeks later. Hope your cousin is alright.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's exactly what happened to him. They thought he was better sent home and ended up he wasn't. He's better now thank goodness.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For sure. I believe I was discharged once pain diminished. But once the scans were properly checked I recieved a letter for my surgery date.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know the government was darling with a 'gay bomb' but honestly a 'kidney stone bomb' would have been far more efficient.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get them every now and then. Never bad enough that I need surgery, but goddamn is it a miserable few days when they strike.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm a martial artist of 24yrs, ice hockey player of 4, Yet I was made a little bitch by a 7x5 stone. But at the time, I wanted to die lol

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you get them from time to time, the i beg you, keep hydrated. Because when they get big. It's indescribable.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I stay pretty hydrated, was something with my diet.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've had them and the doc told me they are in the medical dictionary as more painful than giving birth/being shot 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also drinking a lot of bottled water isn't necessarily a good thing as it contains added calcium which is what kidney stones are made of

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was in the hopsital with severe pain. My nurse took some blood. By the time they could give it to the lab and come back, 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

2/2 I was on the ground, delirious, couldn't talk, couldn't breathe.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I have had my fair share of kidney stones and I would in fact wish them on my worst enemies. They are enemies after all.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

That fatigue thing is no joke.

9 years ago | Likes 189 Dislikes 2

The older I get, the realer it becomes.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I work as a chef. Long hours + high heats + not enough water = 7mm x 5mm kidney stone. i wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't know I've been tired and fatigued my whole life and I make jokes about it a lot.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm in graduate school and drink nothing but coffee and diet coke. I'm tired all the time.... this speaks to me...

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Start the gallon challenge! I've been doing it for a couple weeks and the change is unbelievable

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Funny how those exact two are choices of hydration

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you hydrate with water, you'll still be tired all the tired. I'm also the graduate tired.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Gotta add alcohol too, or you're not doing it right. That's my trifecta

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Truth, if you don't drink enough you'll start looking like the colossal titan

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Steaming like a fresh turd?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Really tall?

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Hungry for human flesh?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Skin falls off.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If you wake up from a long nap or slept for a long time and you feel like your tired, that means your dehydrated.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yeah no there's plenty of other reasons, if you haven't drunk any fluids then maybe but it's not the only reason.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*you're tired *you're dehydrated

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dang, man. Sorry, phone's keyboard is being stupid.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My friends and family are sick of how much I preach about drinking water. I've had to dumb it down to "it'll make your skin look great"

9 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 5

but it doesn't....

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

When you don't feel like shit, and you smile.. your skin looks great :D

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Just tell them water is the essence of wetness, and wetness is the essence of beauty! Cant argue with that!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm consistently well-hydrated but have skin like a PMSing 14 year old, what now.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

I mean... ARE you a PMSing 14 year old?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No! Hilariously, my skin was much better when I was a PMSing 14 year old.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you tried taking it off and putting it back on again?

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

unsuprisingly, there is more than one factor that goes into healthy skin. you may have an overproduction of oils, etc

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends how old you are. If you're in your late teens to early 20s, wash and moisturize your face and wait 5 years.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm 24. So, uh. Maybe another year, by that advice?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the morning, if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Then you go return some videotapes?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was running out of characters... I didn't mean blemish free skin, rather your skin looks better when you're hydrated, as opposed to 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When you're chronically dehydrated and your skin is dry. Like I said "dumbed down" and without getting to deeply into it. That's it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know it's important, but I'll ask anyway: WHAT to do if you hate drinking water? I very rarely drink "just water". I just hate it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Drink something calorie free or calorie light? Coffee and unsweetened ice tea come to mind.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am drinking tea and unsweetened ice tea actually. Found that "Pure Leaf" brand recently, it's delicious. Probably a bit sweetened though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Brew your own. Far easier to control what goes in it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If only I had the time to make everything that I should make myself... :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I use an iced tea maker. takes no longer than making a pot of coffee. And it's 10 times cheaper than buying tea.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Coffee to keep you hydrated? Yeah...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It doesn't work for me, but mostly because I'm starting to dislike coffee after years of drinking it. It's like a lump in my stomach.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I buy those drops you can make the water flavoured :) not everyone likes them but it's a good alternate to cordial.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes I've tried those, unfortunately not for me I suppose.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hmm just do cordial then.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know what "cordial" is. I try to very lightly sweeten the water I drink with lemonade syrup, a common practice in the Netherlands.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cordial is like your syrup :) less sweet I think
