As a 30 year old man, I hate that I know what the Noo-Noo is.

*Noo-Noo the white

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"The" Noo-Noo? I suppose you like to be referred to as "the Tobias"?

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Of The Batman.

Wellllllll, I mean, that doesn't sound so bad.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

The Muttons sound like an exclamation of attributed greatness, like "the best". Add the elite ending and you truly have that.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm the best damn hunk-o-meat slab around

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah the future, where the word coincidence is interchangeable with conspiracy

5 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

And the word “literally” can be used figuratively because... why can’t a word also be used for its opposite definition?

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

I mean if flammable and inflammable can mean the same thing... wtf, English?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I literally was just thinking that...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That one gets me the most - people trying to turn "literally" into "extremely" or something similar

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The @:#*ers succeeded. It’s in the &**^ing dictionary now.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, it happened to "very", so it's not surprising it can happen to "literally". Intensifierication is a natural phenomenon.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We already have words that do that. "Garnish" for instance could mean to add to something or to take away from something.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Idk I just feel conflicted that words can do that. I understand the whole context and language is constantly evolving but... I mean c’mon...

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh no, I agree completely. On the one hand, I think it's a fun quirk of language. On the other, WHY. ENGLISH IS HARD ENOUGH.
