This Was on The Front Page This Morning

I decided to make the Greek.

Original Post: www.Imgur.com/QdOzaNR

PART 2: http://imgur.com/gallery/8xZ6t

Finished Product

It tastes fantastic. Though I added garlic which was not in the original.

I also bought more and plan on making some of the others tonight. I will post them here when I do.

(not)OP delivered! With that being said, will you deliver some pita and hummus to my house? If not, I'll cry. Lots.

Will it blend......

First time I ever upvoted BECAUSE it's a repost. Tahini sitting in my cupboard since the last time I saw this picture. Finally made it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Greek tahini should go in all of your hummus and don't put cinnamon in hummus...just don't.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Another variant would be to take the classic, lessen the tahini, amp up the garlic and lemon juice, add cumin, and sprinkle w/Aleppo pepper

That edamame one looks dope

You are a hero. I have been looking for this list without even knowing that it existed... or that I was looking.

No thank you. I 'm no hippie

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At first I was like "really, repost from less than 24 hrs back?!?" Then I was all "nope, OP is just a real go getter, healthy one at that."

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dont fuck around.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

More fun than using a blender is using a mortar and pestle. You'll feel so fancy with your hummus eating self!

Will it blend......

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wife wanted a Vitamix for the longest time, and I scoffed. But yes, it really is kickass, and it makes alarmingly smooth hummus.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"alarmingly smooth hummus"

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"classic" = Middle Eastern

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

pro tip: roast your garlic first.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Roasted shallots are good too. It's a staple for my hummus.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The points you are getting are from fools like me who are favoriting this post but will never remember to come back to it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gotta try this.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i've done this, it's good!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One clove garlic. LOL

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a small bowl with my meal. Some cop arrested me, when he heard me order a hummus side.

11 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

i don't get it.. someone explain please? x.x;

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Hummus side= homicide?

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Hummus, mate. Humus is the shit you get when bodies decompose.

For the health nuts, enjoy with baby carrots or other raw veggies.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pita isn't that bad. But raw veggies and humus is delicious.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But if you're going for absolutely zero carbs then even pita is a no no.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you're going for zero carbs then carrots, veggies and hummus are all a no no.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

0 carbs is a really bad idea though. Your food should be actual usable nutrition.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Alright yes, overall it is. Mainly I meant for the snack. Though hummus has carbs even if only a slight amount. So my point is moot anyway.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

woah woah woah... woah. Did I just win an internet argument? Can that happen?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My brain seems to be eternally stuck on reading "Humus" as "Humans"

11 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 0

Hummus hummans

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, it looks like Soylent Green...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are a few humans I'd gladly dip my chip into.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This was bothering me. Humus is a kind of soil. Hummus is the delicious dip.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You have superhumus capabilities??

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Humus green is people!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Humans probably taste better.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why can't the recipes on imgur be in ml or g sometime? It makes me sad

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Indeed! I think cups should be reserved for bras only. Liquids in ml and solids in grams. That'd be the best for everyone!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I assume by 'everyone' you mean 'me'?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And me!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I truly don't mean to sound rude but you can always just go on a converter if you're not a nerd like I am. I do it for euro sites, nbd.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True, it can be converted, but why not use one system that actually makes sense? :) Teaspoon as in 5ml or just use a teaspoon from the 1/?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

drawer? Cups as in coffeecup or ~150ml? I'm a decent cook so these were things that bugged me more growing up than now, but still. If 2/?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

following a recipe and then maybe having to alter it for some reason it's a lot easier if the system is metric :) 3/3

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yo man, I'm with you the US method of measuring units is pretty whack. But if you're from a country you usually use their measuring system;)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

True, but here (Norway) they use tsp and tbsp, plus all the solids in ml too.. Drive me nuts! But no need to be a slave to a recipee either

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where do you find tahini, I can't seem to find it at my local grocery store.

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Or you can prepare your own, very easy: toast some sesame seeds and then blend well with a splash of olive oil to get the creamy texture :-)

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Sometimes with the peanut butter. Sometimes on the foreign food aisle.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

By the peanut butter usually

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It should be at most stores. Check the international section.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I live in the Middle East, and can find it pretty much everywhere, so my immediate guess would be a Middle Eastern shop in your area.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Otherwise known as sesame seed paste. Try health food store..

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A Middle Eastern store.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For Hummus, where you're already blending with olive oil, you can use Sesame seeds from the spice rack, just throw in the blender.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you have a Vitamix you can make if yourself. http://www.food.com/recipe/homemade-tahini-73859

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We find it at our health shop or in our bigger pharmacies with the health-food section.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hummus should always have garlic.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Shouldn't that be always add hummus to your garlic?? o.O

Personally, I add more garlic to my garlic...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OH GOD YOU HAVE A VITAMIX. MY DREAM.

11 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 0

I love them! My dad has one from the 80s and it's still goin strong.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

whats so special about a vitamix that makes it different from other blenders?

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

hey are variable speed and can chop like a food processor. Basically they do everything. I would almost kill my mother for hers.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's just a high end blender.. the ultimate is still blendtec though

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Vitamix FTW!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's super high power, made in the US, built to last forever. I talk to people frequently who've had one for 20 years & use it daily.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My Osterizer is about 40 years old and still blends like a champ. Good to know what I'll get when it wears out, though. :)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You've got one of the old Osters? Super jealous! Grew up with one, took it to my first apt, but it eventually died. Still have the bowl!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aww, too bad the motor died.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn you and your superior blender. Are they as amazing as everyone says?

11 years ago | Likes 346 Dislikes 1

INTRODUCING THE TOTAL NUTRITION CENTER 3 - BECAUSE THE TWO FIRST WEREN'T TOTAL ENOUGH!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

IT'S ALMOST LIKE TECHNOLOGY ADVANCES OR SOMETHING!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes!!! Best blender I e ever had by miles

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got my vitamix secondhand off of eBay. $200. Runs like a top. Makes whole fruit and vegetable smoothies. Humus. Soup. Its Amazing.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You will pay an arm & a leg, and it's worth every penny.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Everything blends...except chuck norris

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes. I finally know what it's like to not have lumpy smoothies. It's a whole new world

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It spins so fast you can make hot soup

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

They really are. Mine was a gift from my parents. It's incredible.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They are indeed, especially for food prep and bar work, they're all we use at work

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

One time I almost started crying bc I thought it broke. I love it.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nah

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mom's had one since the early 90s, we used to use it to grind grain. It's insanely powerful.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

yes, oh dear sweet 8 ounce baby jesus laying the manger, yes

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mom has one... Its a beast and all but it cost $700 she tells me...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Will it blend

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have one in my kitchen but it mostly collects dust since its overkill for most things I want to blend together.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yes.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Put a Nokia in and find out.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I have used plenty of Vitamixers. I'll take my Ninja over those any day.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I have one and I LOVE IT. It lasts forever and performs just like new.

11 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I love mine too. I also effed up the blades by blending a spoon in it by accident and they sent me a new container for free. :)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used one so much that the motor wore out but that took several years in a professional kitchen. Amazing machines!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Earnest question. Don't have a vitamix, would it be better to use a food processor or a blender?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends. If you use it the way I do it is. Check user/youcancooktoo. Just to blend smoothies you are better off with a less expensive one

11 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 1

Yo you think this will work if I use a nutribullet or will it be to fast???

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Nutribullet is good for making hummus. My boyfriend got me one for my birthday and my mum and I swear by it for hummus and tzatziki

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you use the 4 prong blade or the 2 when making it or it doesn't matter?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is a nutribullet like a magicbullet

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah pretty similar. Difference is that nutribullet is faster. I would think magic bullet is better because of lower speeds like a processr

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Vitamix won't fit under your cabinets, super annoying. Check the pic.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah they are awesome when the new cook cracks the $$$$ pitcher with frozen banana chunks or whatever. Then the new one... and...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How in all 9 hells did that happen? I've never seen them break!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly in that way, frozen banana chunks with nothing else on full blast.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm impressed. That took talent.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm jealous, because its more of a savant quality, the reverse genius.
