Acrylic eyes

I'm making a bunch of severed heads for a TV show and these are the eyes we made for them. Quick and simple method but suitable for the props.

3/ down with more epoxy. The entire thing is sealed with epoxy and then fitted into the scleral lens mould filled with clear dental acrylic.

2/ epoxy coloured with oil paint. The general staining is done with acrylstains from PPI and the veining is scarlet wool fibres stuck

I'll try and photograph the whole process next time I run some.

I tried making some from polymer clay and clear polymer gel. Turned out pretty bad. I think I need more practice.

It's a very tricky process without the proper kit. You can't really get clear resins 100% bubble free without a pressure tank.

Does the name Scantlebury mean anything to you by chance?
