Presenting my tripod kitty Greebo already home and purring. Dont know how you people with actual human children do it. This was fuckin scary man.

Show your puppers, kitties and assorted floofs and animal friends a lil but more love tonight friends, I know I will be.

Obligatory edit: Hi guys! Sorry for late edit, posted and then went to sleep, thanks so much for your well wishes, Greebo is doing excellently. For those who want to know what happened, im not entirely sure myself, got home after work Monday night and he wasnt there to greet me as the usual so I knew something was up. Found him outside curled up making pain mewls with a clump of fur missing and his leg hanging off him. Rushed to the vet and they told us he jad a shatterred femur. He was able to get in to see the surgeon tuesday and all went as well as it could have. We wont be taking any holidays to the behamas anytime soon, but my furbaby is going to be fine. He freaking me out with how mobile he is!

No witnesses?

So how did Greebo lose a leg?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I have a 1.5 year old daughter. Its tough all the damn time but you get used to it. Cats don't really even compare.

Discworld reference. Nice

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You should invest in a vacuum cleaner...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't assume purring means he's happy. Sometimes cats purr when in great pain as a coping mechanism.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

The specific frequency of purring promotes healing as well. Cat here is trying to speed up the healing process.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I missing body part makes him more like Greebo even if it's not an eye.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

But he would have to swap @OP for a middle aged witch with a ton of grandchildren.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If he is anything like his namesake, this will only make him stronger and more intimidating to lesser animals (pronounced "everyone").

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What happened!? Please tell us!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cats purr to comfort themselves. He's probably still uncomfortable AF.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

And to keep people around them. Purring means please stay with me.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's just like my cat Coco Bun. She was attacked by a dog late Nov last year & had to get a leg amputated.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That photo was late Dec (sorry for potato). She's actually adapted quite well to being 3-legged & can still run (and jump) like she used to.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@OP what happened to the poor boy?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

What a sweet little survivor. He deserves so many scritches.

Tis but a flesh wound!

No context no updoot.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

op i'm gonna need more updates!!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because its not OP's cat probably and they don't have a viable story for this?

8 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 8

You can see it as a smaller cat months ago in OPs history

8 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

I learned from "Game of Thrones" that you meant "fewer", not "less".

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I learned that from @sarah

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Not a single Terry Pratchett comment. This has to be rectified.

Cus he’s dead. Any gonna do much commenting.

Terry Pratchett.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My cat is called Greebo after Terry’s Greebo :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Here Here. I like when Greebo becomes human!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Agreed, that is some solid social commentary/writing right there.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn... I've read some, but I don't recall anything fitting for this. Must be a book or 10 that I've missed.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean... The cat's named after nanny ogg's cat.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ah. I think the only witchy book I read was half-witchy at most and that was "Sourcery".

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ahh yeah the least witchy really. I do recommend the later witch books. Lords and Ladies and Carpe Jugulem are my personal favorites.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That'll buff right out.

That'll fluff right out*

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How did I miss that?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Us people with "actual human children" don't usually have their appendages removed.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Way to just ask the universe for such a thing dumbass!! May your “real children” never suffer such a fate even thou parents are clueless

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I mean in cases of horrific accidents, it could happen. Which...I'm guessing might be the case here.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm sure it was an accident that lead to this situation. But without the story how can we know?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Give him a ... shrubbery.

8 years ago | Likes 263 Dislikes 5

Rabbit trap most likely. I have 2 tripods because some asshole in my neighborhood set out traps. Can't prove it and authorities can't help.

He ate a leg due to hard times.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He tripped on that long ass 1970s shag carpet.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

That carpet looks more matted than a stray dog

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There was catastrophe

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Got into a battle with an errant nobleman over rights of passage over a bridge.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I’m assuming it was hit by a car? I’ve met a handful of three-legged pets and that was the cause of all the amputations I’ve seen.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It can be as simple as a sprained ankle joint. Some cats never recover from that and are in permanent pain until the leg is amputated.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a three-legged cat, and she lost her leg due to a feral dog attack. Could be anything, really.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A friend of mine had a three legged cat who lost her leg in an illegal leg trap left in the woods.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Whatever you do, DO NOT google "mandolin slicer injury."

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've seen worse. Nearly did worse to my own finger with a knife once... Was impatient opening the packaging for my kitties new collar.

I'm having a giggle at how many people are not amused by your joke, and admire that you haven't deleted it +1

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Srsly, cats have 9 lives supposedly; you'd think a living cat that "died" would be an obvious joke. Oh well.

It was probably hit by a car. Fractured the leg somehow and either needed $$$ surgery or couldn’t be fixed.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Who? Someone who isn't privy to the context.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

Actually, it seems it is OP's cat after all. I don't understand why they haven't responded to a single question on this thread.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

repost or he is spending time with tripod kitty and not giving fuck to internet
