Sept. 7 a woman was stabbed multiple times in the town where I teach.

I'm linking the article so I won't explain too much, but after a manhunt Wednesday the man was found and arrested.

I'm used to a lot of bad news from my school's town. Most of the time, it is kept out of eduction, though. This woman has three daughters in the school district who have not been to school yet. She is in the hospital indefinitely. Obviously, this woman cannot work and cannot support her children. A gofundme has been set up to raise funds for her.

I know imgur hates sob stories and asking for money, but until the students are back in the school, this is all I can do to help. My town gets a bad rep, and bad things do happen. But it's also a town full of school spirit and kids who are just trying to get away from it.
