It's a gentle lead, acts like a halter on a horse. The dog can still open his mouth, drink water, bark, etc, but it doesn't allow him 1/2

to pull on the leash. If the dog pulls, since the leash is attached to the side of his head/muzzle, his head just turns to the side. 2/2
