Seeing as how they are government workers and their pay is publicly available.
Their starting pay is between 47,000 and 51,000, and it tops out at 167,000 with 15+ years experience in federal law enforcement but to get into any branch of federal law enforcement OTHER than ICE you needed a 4 year degree or a 2 year degree with relevant military training, You needed this for ice too until this year.
So with HS only, he is earning no more than 51K plus OT which is maxed at 50K/year.

From what I heard they don't even get their sign up bonus until they have been doing this job for 5 years. They will never get it. I wouldn't be surprised that at some point they stop paying them and promise them higher pay later or some shit.

I believe it’s 1K at sign up and then 1K every year they stay on. BUT they need to stay on for the entire 5 years with excellent performance reviews, or else they HAVE to pay all of that bonus back. Such a scummy clause for a job a majority of Americans despise. Almost guaranteeing they don’t pay out the bonus.
